Does this mean that the RAM paint peels off constantly which in turn mean there's also a paint shop & a team of skilled painters on board all those carriers to repair such damage ? @Picdelamirand-oil

At such a point the paint is affected? If true what about the frame (thermal cycles affect the strenght of aluminium and steel alloys) ?

That is during test. Just like F-22s during testing and flight demos they are not going to worry about paint.

Oh who am I kidding like a child like you is going to research anything that goes against your narrative. Gen Horner pulled back the A-10s from attacking Republican Guard mech units and replaced them with F-16s because they were getting hammered. A-10s were put to hunt less capable regular forces.
So, what you're saying is the A-10 is essentially a failure. Something which you have persisted with till date right from the Gulf War - 1 in 1991 ( assuming you're referring to the first Gulf War) more than 30 yrs ago.
It's no wonder that the French keep pointing out the F-35 is a bit of a failure too for you've a precedent in persisting with such below par over budget aircraft which improves only with subsequent iterations over multiple upgrades & a lengthy period of time after sinking in additional billions.

You need to remember their frame of reference. Their claim to fame is a 1980's design. So the A-10 fits their mindset.

The navy got their way with the SH though.
As for the A-10s, if it's being propped up to protect jobs then it's bad. But if it's being propped up by the army then it goes to show why such capability should actually be in the hands of the army instead of the air force.
It's jobs, it's 100% jobs. The A-10's are based in Arizona.

It's like WW2 again where everything is an 88, instead they're just getting blasted with standard artillery lol. F-16 does the most all around work in every role and gets the least credit. Meanwhile A-10 brrrrrrrrrrrt. CLOSE air support means you gotta fly close right? You can't use modern technology to just aim from the sky lol.
I'd rather create biplanes to drop bombs on ak-47's then use the a-10 which people really think would be useful in europe or something. If we had air superiority where the a-10 was useful the war would long long long long be over lol.
