More than 1 million protest in Hong Kong, organizers say, over Chinese extradition law

Mainland Chinese must be very confused about what's happening in Hong Kong.
Beijing is now using operatives disguised as counter-protesters to beat the protesters and police are turning a blind eye.

I can’t understand why the protesters don’t understand that China has a superior form of democracy that they want to bring in.

Indeed, one man one vote, and Xi Jinping is the one man with the one vote.

Look at the depths you've plumbed ever since you've lost the jewel in your crowncrown not even a 100 years ago. From a super power to a wannabe with another wannabe in 10 Downing. What a worthy successor to your idol Churchmouse!

So Hong Kong is still British then? Jolly good.

It's them that has the problem, not us. Just think how many problems China has because of the CCP. Hong Kong doesn't want anything to do with them and Taiwan separated. The CCP could solve all their problems by simply marching up China's tallest peak and lobbing themselves off.

I was referring more to the CCP unilaterally scrapping the treaty it signed with the formerly "Great " Britain without as much as a by your leave too. And how did UK react? You could hear the proverbial pin drop. But you can keep deflecting to avoid ridicule.

Why bother, they're destroying themselves. They're slowly alienating their neighbours and proving untrustworthy in terms of agreements, which won't help them with the US trade deal. I'm going to sit right here and watch it play out.

So, both the Chinese & Iranians reckoned right. You do have tomato juice flowing in your veins.

How's your cow?
I could've answered - You ought to know the condition of your mom better but that'd be below the belt. So, I'd refrain from doing so.

Instead I'd draw your attention to the fact that Iran has released / decided to release the British tanker it seized. One doesn't know, of its with or without the contents or it's crew. ..

Seized British-flagged tanker leaves Iran

This should've been your riposte. But matters of such general knowledge, current affairs, geostrategic importance , etc are beyond the remit of your severely constrained intellectual capacity as you've demonstrated and we've observed innumerable times.

In fact, for all the technical education & erudition in the English language that you possess and the grades which you so proudly display / displayed seem equally worthless when as was recently observed you couldn't tell the difference between a "pilot " Signal & a pilot signal.

In fact , in a rather shocking display of a rigid adherence to the syntax & grammar of the English language as opposed to a holistic understanding of the situation also commonly known as common sense, you clearly demonstrated why common sense isn't common at all, particularly when it comes to some ethnic groups as compared to say other ethnic groups.

In dummy terms - your head is like an eunuch's underwear. There's nothing in it.

You know too much about eunuchs and their underwear... and, of course, cows.

Taipei (AFP) - Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen warned Thursday that mainland Chinese who attacked Hong Kongers or damaged "Lennon Walls" could be barred from the island following a recent spate of such incidents.

The walls plastered in colourful sticky-notes, posters and slogans that have sprung up across Hong Kong have also been set up in Taiwan, mostly in university campuses.

However, there have been a number of incidents of Chinese students or tourists damaging the walls or attacking Hong Kong students for posting notes to support the city's democracy movement.

"Such incidents will not be tolerated. The entry of people involved should be restricted to certain degree in the future to maintain our rule of law and social order," she told reporters.

Taiwan held a Hong Kong solidarity rally last weekend which was largely peaceful, although Hong Kong popstar Denise Ho -- a staunch democracy advocate -- had red paint thrown at her by an unidentified assailant as she spoke to local media.

"Do not attempt to provoke Taiwan's democracy and the rule of law. We will not allow such behaviours to continue to happen in Taiwan," Tsai said in a message posted on her Facebook after the incident.

Taiwan has been a de facto sovereign nation since the end of a civil war in 1949, but China still views the island as its territory and has vowed to seize it -- by force if necessary.

Tsai, who is seeking a second term in January, has described the coming election as a "fight for freedom and democracy", setting herself up as someone who can defend Taiwan from an increasingly assertive Beijing.

She has pledged to provide assistance to Hong Kongers facing prosecution for involvement in anti-government protests who seek sanctuary on the island, sparking a rebuke from Beijing to "stop meddling" in the territory's affairs.

Anti-government protesters faced off against authorities in Hong Kong on October 13, vandalizing shops and shouting slogans at police.

Sunday’s demonstrations, described by local media as “flash mob protests,” come as the city enters its 19th consecutive week of political unrest.

This footage shows damage to Bank of China and Best Mart 360° outlets in in New Town Plaza. “F**k CCP [Communist Party of China]” has been scrawled across the entrance to the bank.

Mass protests in Hong Kong started in March over a now-shelved extradition bill that would have allowed people to be sent to mainland China for trial.

The protests have broadened, with hundreds of thousands of people participating in multiple rallies, most recently about a new law banning face masks at protests.

Well yes, it probably won't be long before they execute executive order 1989 and Tiananmen Protocol.

So, what are you doing about it? There are still many British citizens who call HK home apart from a sense of obligation you owe them.
