On 11 th we were discussing about the Events Post 1998 Nuclear Tests and their Geo Political implications

We have to continue this discussion in this Off Topic Chit Chat Thread
______________________________________________

@safriz As I was saying , I wanted to show you how the Chain of Events post 1998 have been NET negative for Pakistan

So after Kargil and Bill Clinton' s support to India , Pak Army was angry at US and wanted to do something to hurt US

So Pakistan started supplying N technology to Iran and Libya

But Fate had something else in Store

9 / 11 HAPPENED

AFTER , 9 / 11 Libyan Regime wanted to save itself

So they confessed everything in front of US officials

Also , US intercepted a Ship carrying Materials for Iran

And Pakistan was exposed

Your Countrymen on PDF , have a very
Common complaint

That is , Pakistan could have Extracted Much more Money and Weaponry from US

Your people , in fact say that your Officials are either Stupid or Sell outs
Because they did NOT get more out of USA

The Thing is that the Leverage you had immediately after 9 / 11 was LOST by the Iranian Nuclear material expose

And Pakistan was Lucky to have escaped a " Whipping "

Not My words

To all those who've been wondering what's wrong with UK . Well , this isn't even where it starts . Merely a manifestation of a deeper malaise & sign of things to come . UK is raising a nation of non binary fags . Paddy could explain more but won't for fear of self incrimination .

Shoutout to all Bombayites - past & present. Those named here & those not. All good food lovers, lovers of nostalgia, culture, old city charm, etc.

A real pity @vsdoc isn't around. He'd have loved this slice of Bombay life & Parsiana.

Most of these Irani Cafes are shut with the rest on the way out. I was old enough to savour them & young enough not to forget as would hopefully all those people who were fortunate enough to experience it whether natives of Bombay or people settled here for a long stint in the city .

I have never been to Irani restaurant in Mumbai, but we went two or three times in a month for sure at ones at Pune.
Very similar ambiance as described, hope they are still alive and kicking out there.
I remember there were a few near Shivaji Nagar towards Deccan gymkhana and a couple of them near mg road.

Everyone would rave and rant about chai and bun maska, Bun maska was fine, but chai was always disappointing, the good stuff was the chicken fry curry.

Their chai was more the pani kam variety , I guess . I used to frequent those joints for their rolls , patties , pastries , kheema pav than for khari & tea or bun maska tea or even biskoot chai . Frankly I've never had chai there .

I doubt the ones in Pune are still standing ( A few maybe but it's a race against time as all the younger generation has either migrated abroad or started other ventures . The notion of sitting on the till for 12+ hours after a college education doesn't appeal to them ) though I haven't been to a single joint there but Kayani in Camp famous for their Shrewsberry Biscuits was in the news a few years ago threatened by the authorities with closure which I guess eventually came to pass.
