Next day I went to the PAF selection centre with the photos . Gave the clerk two photos of me , one from the front, one from the back, both attested and signed by a government official.

I was surprised why he was laughing so hard.
He thought I was joking, and then relized I wasn't.
He then explained to me that "Attested from front and back" means a government officer signing my photo at the front of the photo and at the back of the photo.
Jot two pictures of me , one from the front and another from the back.

The photographer was our family friend. More than 30 years later he still remembers that misunderstanding of mine , and still makes fun of me

But tell me what's the purpose of attesting the back of the photo? What could be the logic? Assuming the story to be true

RAW team is espionage, IB is counter intel.

That was 35 years ago. Not too sure anymore.
I think it was a signature and an official stamp at the back, and a signature at the front.

A Shlomo applied for an audience with the Pope. After insistently waiting for three days and refusing to budge before an audience with the pontiff, he was finally granted one...

'Your Holiness, I come from a long line of cooks', said the Shlomo.

Another heroic post by our hero DRWHO. He is one of the most amazing ids I have come across on defence forums, other one is me , selvam razpak, Parsi doc and onegrimpilgrim and the most annoying is Prasad dhotibaaz.

Accountability! If only.

That.. if incorporated into Indian culture.. will transform India in ways no one can predict. We are a nation where, just 5 min actually means it will take time and it's acceptable too. And I am not innocent either. Probably made the average accountability among Indians a tad bit lower 🥲😓
