You can't change the path of pakistani waters.pakistan will do everything if you stop our water.downstream or upstream doesn't matter.water is necessary for agriculture.india can't go down to such levels.

taking about levels seriously? we can have separate thread on depths of depravity that pakistan has descended to since 1947.

Right now pakistan is a major beneficiary of Indus river treaty whereby you get more than 70% of the water. IWT must be one of the most one sided treaties. We need to abrogate the one sided treaty and make it a fair one.

All we are asking is for a fair treaty and I know that must be hard for a country like pakistan.

You can take your share of water.we aren't stopping you from anything.water is necessary for agriculture and we understand problems that India is facing.nobody is asking you to give all water to us but kindly don't divert our share of water.

There is no Your water when India itself is in drought.
There is no Your water when Pakistan is damaging India.

What China is doing in Bhramaputra will be done for you too..

Better to get ready for such eventuality.

The thing is, even if China stops 100% of water of Brahmaputra, it will mean less than 15% change for India as Brahmaputra gets very megere amount of water flow from Tibet.

But we can very well stop the water to Pakistan.

We need to invest more in canals, double or triple the amount of canals in dry and arid reigions of India and bring the water by interconnecting the Indus, Chenab rivers.

Well I said the current treaty is unfair and one sided which needs to be rectified. We are talking about India getting a fair share of the water not about any thing else.
