None whatsoever, because it makes zero sense in shutting down a mass production line in OFB to import the same item, and if MoD did decide to do so, they might as well import it from POF, Wah.
As far as 122mm systems, none of the SPH 2S1 are active, neither are the D30's, Most people in deolali will tell you the same.

As of now Indian arty ratio's are quite funny w.r.t to pakistan for a country that claims 1:3 superiority.

Also decimation of Indian Arty happened particularly in UPA's 10 years and MoD and Army brass should be held accountable for the same.

Do we have to explicitly buy them, or can we make some other purchase/provide some other favor of comparable value to get them to scuttle the sale?

Without OEM's approval Egypt can't sell them according to end user license. And as Egypt is buying a lot of French items, it will not like to create any type of trouble.

The easier way out for us is to buy another batch of Rafale and pressurise Dassault to stop all kinds of sale of equipment and service to Pakistan.

Pakistan Air Force to replace entire F-7P fleet with JF17 Fighter Jets

QUETTA – Pakistan Air Force has decided to replace entire F7P fighter jet fleet with new JF 17 fighter jets. Currently, PAF has over 50 F7P aircrafts and reportedly 13 fighter jets have crashed in last 17 years.

Such a mindset is best for India. Pakistan is now under a false impression that Nasr and its TNWs have given it a fool proof protection but the problem is that fool proof protection does not work for fools. Pakistanis are such fools and they will learn it hardway next year when we complete the last weapon system needed to fully operationalise CSD. While we can do it even today but the two front war scenerio needs to be dealt with and by middle of next year we would have acquired that capability also. The count down to disintegration of Pakistan will then commence.

Don't you think it will take at least 2-3 years to test and validate CSD? They will be conducting the very first "official" exercise in May after all. And then it will still take some time to convert all the current units into IBGs. We also need dozens of attack helicopters along with a whole lot of utility helicopters.

So I don't think the kind of forces we need for CSD will be available for a few more years at least.

The concept of IBGs is not new. IA has planned it long back and they have already finalised two types of them one for offensive ops and another for defensive ops. These IBGs are in addition to pivot corps which will continue to provide support to these IBGs and Strike corps which are in addition to these IBGs. As for Helicipters, we have over 400 Mi-8s/17s with us besides over 150 ALH. The missing link was dedicated CAS aircraft, SPGs and air defence of the area where IBGs operate. We have already started inducting K-9 and Dhanush. The CAS will now be done by Mi-17s/35s/Apaches and Rudra mix while the lack of air defense cover will be majorly taken over by S-400 system. So the missing link was just the S-400. I also assume that by mid 2020, we will have two sqns of LCA Mk1 which might be converted to dedicated CAS/AD role for IBGs. This will complete the force structure of IBGs.

If we are talking about CSD only, then we have enough assets. But if we are talking about CSD which escalates into total war, that's where the lack of assets will become a problem for us.

For example, if we follow through with CSD and the PA doesn't fight back and accepts a ceasefire, then fine. But if PA decides that the IA is still not ready for total war and are sure that the Strike Corps won't enter Pakistan, then they can use overwhelming force to defeat our IBGs.

The way I see it, we will be comfortable only in the 2022-23 period, after we have inducted all the S-400, Akash, QR and MRSAMs necessary, along with enough SPH and towed artillery and also plenty of air assets, along with the 36 Rafales and 2+ squadrons of LCA Mk1A and upgraded MKIs and Jaguars.

I'm basically saying, if the IA is not ready to mobilise the Strike Corps effectively, then CSD is only threatening on paper.

Please understand that CSD is about all out nuclear war. The war gaming included all out war with nuke exchange. We all know that once you start a limited war, it goes unlimited in no time. What we may calculate as escalation threshold may not hold good with our opponent as he may percieve things differently.
The IBGs are not for deep penetration but for shallow thrusts to overwhelm decision making process of the enemy and force him to commit his war reserves early in the war. This will create holes in its defences to be exploited by our strike corps to make deep inroads in enemy territory. Movement of strike corps within 72hrs to their staging area has been fully exercised and Railways have created that kind of infra to even move our strike corp from Bina/Babina to Jammu within 24hrs of being boarded on trains. We have also created weapon dumps close to the border to ensure that we have least amount of luggage to carry forward.
If we have multiple IBGs breaking thru, they will start a pincer to mop up PA defences and confine them in a small area and force surrender. PA strike corps and war reserves will be taken care of by our Pivot corps and war reserves.
