Technically speaking the Seakings from Qatar can easily have upto 15 years in them. The Minesweepers of Dutch would also quite a lot of life left (more than a decade).

They are not going to run into problems atleast till 2035. That gives tham 13 years to look for longer term solutions.

They are already looking into EMB based platform for P3C replacement.

A new batch of Z9 funded by China to replace the remaining Aloutte 3s. And a 4th ATR 72.
The tanker is brand new and one more is planned. The subs will be new. The Type 054A are new, the Azamt class is new, Babur Class is new, Damen Stan OPVs are new and Jinaah Class firgates are planned.

Pakistan's third PN Milgem Launched

Turkish Defence Ministry’s Company ASFAT Inc has conducted three ceremonies in a day in Istanbul. Two ceremonies were about Open Patrol Vessel (OPV) projects, and the third was about the Pakistan Navy’s (PN) Milgem Project PNS Khaibar (282). Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the ceremony.
PN MilGem is a stretched derivation of Turkish MilGem Ada class anti-submarine warfare corvettes. The system is intended to enhance the blue water capability of the Pakistan Navy. Platforms are equipped with better weapon payload than their predecessors. According to the agreement, two vessels are built in Istanbul, and two vessels are built in Karachi. The recent ceremony in Istanbul was for the second ship built in Turkiye. There is still one ship in the shipyard under construction in Pakistan. /end

Pakistan launches first locally built assault boat

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s Bahria Boat Building Yard launched its first 12T marine assault boat on Dec. 5 at its Karachi facility as part of a technology transfer deal with Polish shipbuilder Techno Marine.

The deal represents Techno Marine’s expanding presence in Pakistan; the company previously supplied 30 Chaser TM-1226 rigid inflatable boats for Pakistan’s naval special forces.

The contract for the marine assault boats was signed in 2018, but verifiable public information is limited. Available information notes the delivery in 2019 of two 12T vessels.

However, a spokesman with Bahria Boat Building Yard told Defense News the Pakistan Navy ordered 18 12T boats made up of two types. The Karachi Naval Dockyard is building those powered by outboard engines, and the Navy hired Bahria to make those powered by water jets. Bahria is currently building the remaining three of four vessels it is currently contracted to produce.

The spokesman also said efforts are underway to secure more domestic customers for the Bahria-built boats.

Around the 2003-2004 time frame, Thailand’s Marsun shipyard supplied M-16 fast assault boats — similar to the 12T — and the design for Pakistan’s locally built Jurrat-class missile boats. However, the M-16 vessels no longer meet the Pakistan Navy’s requirements.

The Bahria spokesman said the 12T “is for surveillance, policing purposes and [is] extremely swift in handling, as required, to operate in restricted/Creek areas,” but also around other sensitive areas such as the main naval base in Ormara and the commercial port of Gwadar.

The “Creek areas” refers to the disputed border with India around the Sir Creek, where the land border reaches the Arabian Sea. The tidal estuary is formed of marshland and shifting creeks. Conflicting claims over the border have resulted in a disputed maritime boundary in the Arabian Sea shaped like a large triangle, within which may be subsea energy resources.

Though the Pakistan Marines service patrols the Creeks area with British-built Griffon hovercraft, the 12T would enable a more effective patrolling presence into the disputed area of sea.

The 12T is equipped with twin inboard Cummins-powered Hamilton water jets. It can reach 42 knots (48 mph). It is also equipped with a navigational suite from British company Raymarine, and features ballistic protection by Danish company Scanfiber Composites. /end

Turkiye’s STM Delivers 2nd Upgraded Agosta 90B-Class Submarine To Pakistan Navy
On January 25, 2022, the Turkish engineering company STM announced the delivery of the second upgraded Agosta 90B-class submarine, PNS/M KHALID (S-137), to the Pakistan Navy in Karachi. (STM press release)

STM, one of the leading companies in the Turkish defence sector, has completed another critical milestone in its successful export projects. The second submarine, PNS/M KHALID (S-137), was delivered to Pakistan Naval Forces Command at a ceremony held, marking the latest step in the project to modernize three AGOSTA 90B class submarines.

Submarines Modernized with the Most Advanced Systems
The submarines’ sonar suites, periscopes, command and control systems, naval data distribution systems, converters, steering control systems, chilled water systems, and radar & electronic support systems are all being replaced. Systems produced by numerous indigenous and national companies, including ASELSAN and HAVELSAN, are also being exported within the scope of the Project. All hull-related structural modifications, materials, and workmanship activities carried out on the submarines under the modernization project have been certified by the international classification society DNV (Dat Norske Veritas).

Agosta Hits Target with Precision
The first Agosta 90B Class Submarine PNS/M HAMZA (S-139), modernized by STM for the Pakistan Navy, participated in the SEASPARK-2022 Tactical Exercise, during which it successfully fired a torpedo and sank a decommissioned frigate.

Guleryuz: Third Agosta 90B submarine next in line
Özgür Güleryüz, General Manager of STM, speaking about the project, said:
“As we continue our journey on which we set out for the sake of our country’s defence, we are also transferring our engineering experience and technologies to friendly and brotherly countries. The Pakistan Navy Agosta 90B Class Submarine Modernization Project is one of the most important examples of STM’s national and international competency in submarine production and modernization.”

“Within the scope of the AGOSTA Modernization project, which stands out as Türkiye’s first submarine modernization engineering export project involving strategic and high-tech systems, we have successfully equipped the second submarine with modern systems after having delivered the first to the customer in 2021. I congratulate all of our stakeholders and employees who have contributed to the project. I hope PNS/M KHALID, which has begun to carry out its naval missions, will be beneficial to the friendly and brotherly Pakistan Navy.”
