Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. will acquire a key liquid storage operator in Europe from Igneo Infrastructure Partners, in a deal that gives the Indian port operator a foothold in a major energy hub.

The proposed transaction for Evos BV is valued at €2.56 billion ($2.9 billion) at the enterprise level, while the equity value is €1.18 billion, Adani said in a statement.

Evos is Europe’s second-largest independent liquid storage operator, with 6.3 million cubic meters of storage capacity spread across eight strategically located port-based terminals in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta. The terminals are located in critical energy and industrial hubs, including the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region, Hamburg and the Mediterranean.

The acquisition gives Adani Ports access to a diversified base of blue-chip customers, including global energy majors, chemical companies and commodity traders as part of the business with highly visible cash flows. Evos operates with average commercial occupancy of 99%, according to the statement.

“Evos marks an important milestone in APSEZ’s trajectory towards handling 1 billion tons of cargo and building a truly global, integrated transport platform,” Managing Director Karan Adani said in the statement.

The platform comprises 452 tanks, 63 vessels and barge berths, and has several integrated pipeline connectivity, including Schiphol airport and Central Europe Pipeline System. Evos handled 37 million metric tonnes of throughput in 2025, the company said.

Adani Ports’ shares erased gains to fall as much as 1.33% in Mumbai after the announcement. The shares closed 0.8% lower.
