Prior to this, drones and artillery reportedly destroyed Ukrainian armored vehicles, strongholds, firing positions, and UAV launch sites in the village. The motorcyclists' objective is to enter, break through to the village, and clear the strongholds. To reduce the risk, Ukrainian strongholds are not being stormed; instead, mines are dropped into them.

The Russian army launched another missile strike on Kyiv. Footage of Russian missile strikes filmed by Kyiv residents on June 2 has been published. According to preliminary information, 20 Iskander ballistic missiles, dozens of Kh-101 cruise missiles, Tsirkon hypersonic missiles, and Geran-2 drones were used. The strikes targeted Kyiv's cargo port, Nova Poshta warehouse terminals, the Ukroboronprom building, and Civil Aviation Plant No. 410. Ukrainian media also reported hits on civilian targets.
