US - Israel - Iran War

The Houthis have seized key coastal areas along the Red Sea—including the port of Mocha and Perim Island—tightening their grip on the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. In this episode, maritime historian Sal Mercogliano breaks down what this critical development means for global shipping, oil flows, tanker rates, and supply chain security across the Middle East.

Pakistan and the US only send 'thoughts and prayers' To Saudi and MBS (Mr Bone Saw)

Meanwhile the Houthi have attacked the airbase from where the strikes came from

"Yemen’s Houthis say they launched a large-scale ballistic missile and drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait and claimed “direct hits”. There was no immediate response from Riyadh.
  • The Iran-backed rebels say they captured more strategic islands in the southern Red Sea, strengthening their control of a crucial Bab al-Mandeb shipping route.

They already had the islands as of several days ago, but they lost the high grounds in the East, which will be way harder to retake.

Ex-Israeli officials call West Bank settler violence 'ethnic cleansing'

Former senior Israeli military and security officials have condemned escalating settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, with some describing the campaign as "ethnic cleansing," The New York Times reported Sunday.

"This is ethnic cleansing, to put it simply,” retired Brig. Gen. Ephraim Sneh, who is also a former Israeli health minister, said of attacks on Palestinians, according to the newspaper.

Maj. Gen. Eyal Ben-Reuven, a former commander of Israel’s ground forces who also commanded a division in the West Bank, said occupier violence posed a greater concern to him than other security fronts.

"This, what the settlers are doing here, is the real threat to Israel,” Ben-Reuven said. "This is more concerning to me than Iran, Gaza or Lebanon.”

The comments came as retired Israeli generals and former senior officials have been touring Palestinian communities in the West Bank to examine the impact of occupier violence, including attacks on farmers and shepherds and the destruction of property.

Yet another contingency plan for the global oil market – buffeted by more than six months of war between the United States and Iran – has come under serious threat.

On Friday, Saudi Arabia announced that it had shuttered its East-West Pipeline, blaming drone attacks from inside Iraq that it said had caused "injuries and some damage."

No group has claimed responsibility, but US President Donald Trump has pointed the finger of suspicion at Iran-backed proxy groups operating inside Iraq. Iran's foreign ministry "categorically denied" the accusation on Monday.

The East-West pipeline – running to the Red Sea port of Yanbu and feeding Saudi coastal refineries – has proved critical in re-routing millions of barrels of Saudi crude from the Persian Gulf during the war. As much as 4% of the world's oil supply could be taken offline because of the pipeline's closure, according to a note by Capital Economics published Monday.

The shutdown, which could last for weeks – the extent of the damage is not yet clear – is aggravating an already-tough situation for the global oil market.

BM usage by KSA.

As for the DF-15, also known by its NATO designation CSS-6, this is a road-mobile, solid-fueled SRBM developed by China during the 1980s. The system formed part of Beijing’s effort to develop a new generation of conventionally armed mobile ballistic missiles, including systems primarily intended for export.

There was RUMINT about this for a while. Seems like KSA did indeed reach out over the past few days.

Israel and Saudi Arabia held talks mediated by US Central Command aimed at helping Riyadh defend itself against the Houthi military through intelligence assistance, a regional diplomat confirmed to The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

This follows earlier reporting by the Post's sister outlet, Walla, which cited diplomatic sources in the Middle East.

"There were good discussions," a source familiar with the discussions told the Post.

Notably, the discussions follow a meeting between US CENTCOM Chief Adm. Brad Cooper, and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, as well as other Saudi officials.
