US - Israel - Iran War

I think Iran is planning to invade Oman/Yemen. The 420k troops they've moved to the south are not to defend against a US invasion because the US has not moved enough ground forces into the region to do that.

And how would they get those troops across the Gulf of Oman Paddy? Have you checked the map? Hope you aren't suggesting they'd swim there.

This is exactly what I meant when I've remarked ad nauseam most of your posts are room temperature & get progressively lower to go below freezing point reaching cryogenic levels like this one did .

Why don't you take a break from online activities Paddy?! Let the dog take you out for a walk or take your 4 times a year bath , once every new season, since summer has given way to autumn now .

Steve Witkoff, a Trump envoy, said the talks were conducted with the Iranians through mediators shuttling between each delegation. Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president’s son in law, participated on behalf of the US. They had led negotiations with Iran that preceded the US and Israeli military campaign that began in late February and has roiled the Middle East, as well as global energy markets.

Trump said the three-hour session — held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly gathering — was “very productive” and another was being planned for the near future. Iran has yet to comment on the meeting or say who attended.

The talks could raise hopes of some sort of agreement to end the conflict as Trump faces mounting political opposition to the war, though he has insisted that won’t sway him. But it’s not clear what, if any, progress was made and the president has also regularly predicted the conflict will drag on past the November midterm elections in the US.

“I feel very good right now,” Witkoff responded when asked about the meeting. In a statement posted to X on Tuesday night, he said the US hopes the talks “will prove constructive and promising” and the mediators will continue their work. He did not elaborate.

Saudi Arabia says it intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis, with the latest attacks pushing oil prices to a one-week high over fears of spiralling supply disruptions.

The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said the missiles were aimed at Taif in western Saudi Arabia and the Yanbu area on the Red Sea, with the Houthis claiming their attacks were aimed at “a sensitive target” in the capital Riyadh and on Saudi Aramco facilities in Tanbu.

They should hit something in Iran for everything the Houthis hit in Saudi Arabia. They're one and the same entity.
