What is your internet speed ?

Yeah, most of us have fiber.

Furthermore, Reliance Jio have installed a pan-India superhigh speed network. They are gonna roll it out this year sometime. People are gonna have 1 Gbps connections once that happens.

Is fiber in India only limited to up to 100/100 ? Over here when ISPs talk of fiber optic, they mean more than 100/100,depends on the packages, but generally it's up to 1 gbps in dowload and more than 200 in upload.

It depends on the ISP and the city.

Tier 1 cities get the highest speeds, up to 1Gbps. Not all cities get the same speeds though.

Some companies give 1:1 upload speeds, so 200Mbps download and 200Mbps upload. Some companies restrict upload speeds. Larger companies are not as good as smaller companies from a price point and they provide adequate service. But smaller companies are located only in a few cities but provide much better service than larger companies. Typically, it's the smaller companies that provide 1:1 download and upload.

But when Reliance Jio comes into the picture, they will as usual revolutionize the broadband sector.

On Excitel broadband speed is 50down & 50 up all the time, Jio 4G varies in day 1-3 mbps to 20+ mbps in night. here in Delhi majority of towers are connected with microwave backhaul, laying OFC wherever in city is not possible.

How much does it cost to get a fiber optic connection in India ? On average. Is it unlimited or are there data consumption limits ?

Don't know for you,but that seems expensive as hell. That's equal to €76 per months.

Those who can afford it are going for the 1Gbps line by paying a lot. Once Jio comes in, they will revolutionize the market and bring down prices.

These may not be the actual prices on release date, but it was released by Jio. So it's going to be better in fact, like they did with their mobile prices.
