We do know that L&T was the DcPP for VRDE/R&DE(E)'s CICV which is basically two composite halves joined Abhay. And L&T has shown their interest towards a FICV of their own. So maybe they might tryna do something on the CICV, idk... or it could be for their own seperate project as well. Who knows.
But one thing to keep in mind about CICV is if it's amphibious or not. Because the original Abhay AP-1/2 were not amphibious, big reason why they were rejected as the og FICV.

I heard we have got the MTU engine delivered too. Let's build the 3rd pv with it and send it out to Army and let them try to destroy it for a few months, and in the meanwhile try to work on the 1st 2 to resolve the issues.
This way we will not have to wait for another cycle of trials to uncover further issues and thus pushing the actual induction to 2032.

They(army ) always wanted a competition but also wanted a homegrown option among them(private)
No indian pvt company will be involved in anything if they have have any guaranteed order as most private are on nascent stage even now
Hence the army commit that they will buy atleast 59 of iddm tank zorawar
And for rest of, there will be a competition
DRDO, unfortunately, does not have an expansive PR budget to grease wheels and get an organised campaign going for its products. Its competitors have dedicated PR teams along with decades of experience in handling intl. and national media outlets. It's playing with words and reading into the situation on your own. I expect nothing less from media outlets.
So which other domestic and international players are there other than L&T in this race? Asking cuz I'm get a lot of usual rona dhona (hue and cry) on my X feed how this is a set-up by Army to procure foreign product and what not.
