They use very different algorithm for this. They just write thier specifications like that.Su 30mki radar air - air mode 135 km?
How is it called mini awacs?

Do you think the Russians will offer byelka to be integrated to the mki or is it going to be uttam or fga 57??It's impressive for 20 years ago, especially when aircraft had large RCS then. Rafale's PESA also did the same. Both were significant improvements over their MS counterparts. And that's also why the Americans with their new AESA radars with twice the range sang its praises off the top of every tree they could find.
It's actually why I keep saying the Bars is outdated today and the MKI needs a significant upgrade. The JF-17's AESA radar now matches Bars's detection range. But the IAF finds it adequate today because the PAF is still 20 years behind the world.
The Russian Bars-R on their Su-30SM has seen a 50% improvement. This radar and/or the Irbis-E were supposed to be upgrades for the MKI after 2010 but were not pursued.
Btw, 135Km is not the instrumented range. So the Israeli advertisement is different from HAL's. Bars's instrumented range is 400Km, which is only slightly lesser than the instrumented range of AWACS of the time.

The fga series is definitely inferior to uttam. But byelka seems to better and I doubt they will let us integrate byelka on it...I don't have any doubts it's going to be uttam.
With so many indian avionics we are designing, it ll be integrated with Uttam radar.
If Russian radars are way ahead of Uttam utility, then it ll be a different story.
DRDO recently commissioned a new Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) & Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing facility with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) capacity of up to 30 kVs. The facility will be used for testing radars, seekers, avionics, RWS, ECM & EW systems etc. pic.twitter.com/2GkTojNB9B

DRDO is 3D printing prototypes of Transmitter & Receiver Modules(TRMs) using AlSi10Mg alloy. These new TRMs are going to replace old ones on some very long range AESA radars. The old TRMs were being made using traditional welding. The weld beads were causing RF signal distortion. pic.twitter.com/T3OYYwbunJ

It's still not complete. Having a Radar in hardware is one thing and having a fully functional Radar is another. Why don't we upgrade Mig 29 UPG s and Mig 29 Ks with Uttam AESA?
That's 100+ fighters there..
And additionally we have planned for another 29 mig 29.
If we upgrade 140 mig 29 & 270 Su 30 mki with Uttam,
It ll make uttam grand success and big leap in capabilities in the short term with indigenous radar and production industry.
