It's a done deal at this point. It's too late to muddy the waters.

Only @dperi84 reported correctly as MQ-9A. We leased the A version and will also be purchasing the B version, which is also known as Sea Guardian/Sky Guardian.https://t.co/ibqjOwbY8o
I think initially it was 2 MQ9A, but later we have received 1 MQ9B replacing the earlier A. With all the dedicated sensors like SAR.Navy’s MQ-9A HALE unmanned aerial vehicle ditched at sea off Chennai coast

That's not how offsets work!. They just outsource part of the production to local industry. GA can't assure anything because that will be creating a competition for the market. There was some talk of consultancy, but honestly how helpful that can be?.Great news! These birds are expected to come armed to the teeth with sensors and weapons. I understand that, and the difference between offsets & ToT. Our agencies have got a lot right on the UAV front, but there is some room for consultation from an experienced drone manufacturer. As to how helpful that will be, I guess DRDO/ADE will decide on what sort of consultation they'd like to avail from GA, if any. It's just empty speculation on my end. That's not how offsets work!. You are confusing with ToT which is not part of this deal.
