The Nepal government was the first to blink. In a late-night decision, the government lifted the ban on social media apps after protests, led by Gen Z, turned violent, resulting in clashes with the police that led to the death of 19 people.
Nepal Minister for Communication, Information and Broadcasting Prithvi Subba Gurung announced that the government has withdrawn its earlier decision to ban social media sites.
They might be a battle b/w CIA and MSS but it's a real headache for India.
Neither chinese mainland not US mainland is affected by Nepal, bangladesh, myanmar. Problem is the leadership in these 3 nations is dunce. Allowing itself to become a battleground instead of allying with India and deter foreign influence together.

We are unfortunate to have such neighbours. I won't hold my words, most of our neighbours have some irrational hatred towards us. And naturally their politicians use that for their benefits. I don't understand why would the likes of Burmese would hates us? We never did anything wrong to them. But have seen social media trend against Indian-origins there depicting us as if we are some satanic secret society ruining their country for decades.
What is this nonsense??? Indian political elites have been treating the neighbourhood like shit since decades. Have you completely forgotten the 2015 economic blockade of Nepal, the biggest axing-our-own-foot moment in India's geopolitical history. It was done under the tenure of newly elected Hindu Hriday Samrat Topi ji, on the only other Hindu country in the subcontinent. looool

I dont know much about Myanmar, couldn't care less about them, but, not supporting democracy & then being chummy with their junta chief will have consequences.
The answer to this is complicated and spans multiple decades post independence. There have been a few foreign policies and military operations that India has conducted that might have led to certain interest groups as well as the civil society present within those countries developing an antagonistic view towards India.
Also, a certain degree of success tends to lead the local populace having an almost unhealthy level of attention towards your community. You only need to see examples like Uganda.

Two of your neighbours have a state religion that harbours a certain degree of hostility towards you. This hostility cannot be curbed and is very difficult to manage.

Smaller countries will always have a certain populace that will be influenced easily. They will sway certain ways in a repetitive manner. So, to ensure that you get your message across as well - you need to work hard (I do not need to explain how).
In the day and age of social media, you need to carry out internal reforms as well. Your improvements will be seen and appreciated. If you are able to turn things in positive PR, that would be for the best. I do not need to state the obvious here; just look at the state of affairs of your state from top to bottom. Hold On guys. It was a pre-emptive strike by RAW against what was being planned by CIA to be done after one month. Once this reset happened, USA moved in. Their aim to get St. Martin Island from BD fell thru as BD army refused to give any base to USA. They tried to create a Christian state in India's NE thru kuki and Nagas also got blocked by RAW. USA needs a place under the bally of CHINA. They tried to cultivate India but we Indians have always maintained our independence. So the only place left was Nepal. That could have allowed them to create bases in Nepal by installing another Zelensky and use him against China if China tries to go into Taiwan. India and China blocked it thru RAW and MSS. The world needs RIC. RIC does not need anyone in the world. This is what upsets USA as RIC with BRICS can make them bankrupt with India as the leader of Global South.
If you remember, a few years back KP oli who was Chinese stooge had claimed lipulekh area as territory of Nepal and even passed resolution about it in Nepalese Parliament including those areas in the currency of Nepal. As a result of this Reset, China has dumped its own stooge and when KP Oli stated that the Middle sector agreement between India and China is against Nepal, China just refused it and said that they will go by the older map of India and refused the claim of Nepal on Lipulekh. This should tell you which side the winds are blowing.
India and China are two oldest civilizations of the world in last 10k years of co existance, we have fought only 1.5 wars between us. Yes just 1.5 wars. India-China dominated the world without competing with eachother till 18th century. Our civiliazations being basically peaceful went under colonial rule and our culture was destroyed. Rise of RIC will see those olden civilizational values return back to the people of RIC.

Nah. Ever since 2008 when maoist overtook the rule.. nepal has been shifting away. Given that our own disposition at top was filled with left, they only encouraged the nepali govt.

Since then , nepal had shifted drastically in its foreign policy. Even indian maoists take China's side in indo-chin matters let alone nepali. The mistake nepali left made was to miscalculate the reaction of USA. Not India. In their dreams of irking india they irked their uncle Sam.
After all uncle Sam is no stranger to using left tactics on leftist state themselves.
With this looks like Nepal, Bangladesh, srilanka are all secure, at minimum not adversarial to India on policy level or undermining indian concerns under influence of other external powers.
Guess, need to observe Nepal for longer to be sure, as the new Nepali P.M. has done PUBLIC STUNTS in past like installing new unofficial Nepali map showing Indian,Bangladeshi etc territory as Nepali in his older mayor office,as some kind of symbolic move.
I remember @vstol Jockey saying that if Balendra becomes PM, he will be dealt with.
