Off-Topic Chit-Chat

In 1990 I applied for Pakistan air force General Duty Pilot.
Went to the local air force selection centre, filled in the forms, and they asked me to come back with a passport size picture " attested from front and back".
There was no camera phones back then and we had to go to a photographers shop for that.
Went to a shop and asked him to take my passport photo, which he did.
Then I turned round and asked him to take a photo of my back.
The photographer was perplexed.
He asked me what I was doing?
I showed him the letter I got during my visit to PAF selection centre, where it said I needed to give them a photo of me "attested and signed, front and back".
He took my photo from the back.
Then I went to my dad's friend who was as government official and entitled to attestation of documents.
He too was surprised to see my photo from front and back, and me asking him to sign both.
He signed both anyway.

Next day I went to the PAF selection centre with the photos . Gave the clerk two photos of me , one from the front, one from the back, both attested and signed by a government official.

I was surprised why he was laughing so hard.
He thought I was joking, and then relized I wasn't.
He then explained to me that "Attested from front and back" means a government officer signing my photo at the front of the photo and at the back of the photo.
Jot two pictures of me , one from the front and another from the back.

The photographer was our family friend. More than 30 years later he still remembers that misunderstanding of mine , and still makes fun of me

You know some times I think we need to have a total mass purge of the rotten elements within the bureaucracy and military, a mass killing spree of these traitorous leeches who would quite literally sell their mothers for momoney.
I do understand the emotional desire.

But more often than not it leads to worse results.

The question must be asked how much of our bureaucracy, military and government are compromised not only with respect to procurement but also in intelligence sharing with foreign adversaries. These people definitely deserve to be run over.

about that, RAAAA has become more proactive in it and significant amount of good work has been done in this area.

Though mostly limited to compromise in intelligence sharing or links to hostile entities.

Procurement domain needs large improvement

That should technically be work of IB, which is capable. Raaa should focus on doing saazish against Pak in KPK and Baloch. One interesting thing I read (in the book RAW by Yaatish Yadav) was that in the past (dk about present), it was IB which handled the main ops against Khalistan, even abroad in Canada. The Indian embassy there had a larger IB team than even RAW during the 80s and 90s. I was very surprised by this.
