Army Aviation Corps : Updates & Discussions

It's true that even heavy AH are vulnerable to modern AD. The Ka-52s losses despite being perhaps the best protected of the lot make it clear. Drawing lessons from Ukraine, countries like Germany ad SoKo are ditching their AHs for LM/UCAV. Otoh, Israel has been making good use of its AH-64s in taking down Iranian Shaheeds with the trusty M230 gun. Why waste a Sidewinder after all?

The US and Israel are integrating stand-off missiles (esp Spike NLOS and working on a whole range of air launched effects - small size carriers with different explosive and EW payloads) besides integrating mum-t capability across the fleet.

Imo, the IAF/IA should move to fit the Spike NLOS on the Apache (currently only the Mi-17s have it) and get the SANT missile certified for the LCH. If we can modify the existing Belgian FZ 70mm rocket pods on Prachand for Newspace' ALFA-S LM that'd be great, if not we could always develop a custom, modular rocket pod for the bird. Mum-t will probably take some more time though.
