Seems his time is over. Its now time for him to become a TV commentator, pick up a large piece of land in Pak Punjab as his retirement benefits and earn his pension.
Doubt if tv commentary is an option, considering he himself made official statements that all ex-army/navy/af generals need a green from dgispr for TV appearances! Karma doing its 360 degree gig!! Besides, given the understated, but apparent friction with PA, that *large plot of land* may be less desirable than not getting disappeared or featuring in an innocuous car accident or mobbing on the streets of karachi.

Could this be a semi-official announcement of retirement from the peddling of alternative reality?? Coming from Gafoor's personal Twit account!!

@peaceforchange: Dear fellows. I wish I could respond to you all individually for your love & support. U are my strength. U are the future of Pakistan. I take your positive work as passion for Pakistan and not for me or the institution. I am part of your team actually.
Stay happy stay blessed.

His blunder(s) on 27th leaked f16 news and confirmed it. Later when it picked up heat and everyone started laughing at PAF they tried new tricks every day, best one was fake "electronic decoy" ejecting pilots and parachutes and AMRAAM from "TIAwan" :ROFLMAO:

Costed him promotion and looks like his job.

PTI Zindabad?

I thought forces are supposed to be apolitical? Atleast Behen Kumaari Mayawati told me this and so did almost all of the faculty of JNU and OfficeOfRG and not to mention all the thesaurus thumping oxford educated Swines and Duds from BBC too. When did I miss the memo? Lagta hei yeh Naya Pakistan hei.

Ek Ardh Sanyasi nay iski lay lee by god. Imagine if we had taken Pakistan head on in hybrid warfare earlier, we could have probably finished them off by now. Its just thanks to this forum and our members who strongly brought out all the bullshit pedalled by ISPR from Seeker head to blown up part of the missile center section to the Video from Mirpur showing Abhi turning behind the falling wreck of F-16. AND finally, many media channels picked up whatever we posted here to play it to Indian public.
For our dear Gafoora, this is just the begining, We will make your life hell and also who ever takes your place. Keep shaking and jerking Imtiaz for rest of your life-Hilal-e-Imtiaz.
Lastly, Bilal Akbar, tera intezaar hai. Dekh tera kya haal karangay hum.

The important question everyone could muse on is " would you operate a manned or unmanned platform over contested enemy airspace during difficult times "

Yes. Why not? Especially if the other side is unable to detect it. Intrusion need not be deep and may not necessarily be from the side where confrontation is likely to occur, is it?

Unrelated , RAW operated unarmed Predators on loan didn't they ? , I forget I read somewhere , MRO facility with the same gave out the indications.

Incorrect. No Predator drones.

Also related, Rustom 2 elint, esm, comjam sensors is kind of similar to Netra aewcs and those sensors came from where ?

I have no clue. Ask @randomradio perhaps

The job being done by that aircraft has now been taken over by our latest satellite. You have nearly given away what it was and from where it operated and which part of sky in Pakistan it was.

@STEPHEN COHEN can u read this article again , seems updated / edited compared to the day u have shared it.

Oh is this the same gentleman who had claimed that there was no AWACS in air? I recall a write up to the effect now.

Now?

The IAF’s Phalcon AWACS, which while not on station and not controlling the IAF vs PAF air situation — had adequate radar pick up on the aerial engagement unfolding via its powerful airborne AESA radar.

I fail to understand what is meant by 'while not on station and not controlling the IAF vs PAF air situation'! Does he mean to say that our AWACS are in air only to show AWACS in air? Or does he mean to say that the AWACS could observe the battle and not control it as no one was listening to the AWACS?

I wish someone would ask him, I would surely pass on the message to the crew who was controlling the air battle at that time.:ROFLMAO:

If he expected the AWACS not to be 100 odd Kilometers away from LC, I do not know what to say.

Why do people write half baked information!!!

I have seen and read what you have written. I still maintain that AWACs were niether airborne at that time nor in station. They were asked to get airborne when the Take off by Mirage-3/5 was detected by Northern control radars and also the aerostat radars. One by one, IAF picked up formations getting airborne from other airbases and that gave IAF a very clear picture as to what can happen. The M2Ks were well south and SU-30MKIs were north of them in CAP. As these PAF aircraft combined in a single large strike formation widely spaced, The CAP was moved along the Indian airspace to the north. M2Ks were still to the south. AWACS arrived at the station only when the battle was fully on. You need to explain as to why the GCIOs were controlling the air battle if the AWACS were in station?
Buddy, I don't contradict you about your service and job you did, but i do know my job. It is a written order in IAF that any air battle has to be first controlled by an AWACS and secondline is GCIO. The Mig-21s were scrambled by the GCIOs and not by AWACS. You can say whatever you want but I am 100% sure of what I am posting here. We will meet someday in Naval Officer's Mess, Kota House and have drinks with people who took part in this engagement.

Perhaps they mean our AWACS were on joy ride....
When one does not want to admit that they have mistaken, they force themselves in really awkward positions.

There are commonality of platforms of 44, 78 and 50 Squadrons, as all Il-76 based. So a pretty small knit community to know exactly what was happening.

I really do not know why this is being pushed ahead. Perhaps to explain a loss of Mig-21 which was technically in violation of LC which was in violation of ROEs as enunciated by GoI?

Incorrect. No Predator drones.

I meant not in the present conflict , in the past, over tibet , is it true or false ?

Anyways regarding the platform in the present conflict

Emissions extend to great distances , so a airborne platform with passive sensors can catch the same if flies to a altitude which negates ground clutter due to terrain and mountains etc . I guess it's give now which platform was used.

Also other aircrafts in inventory are
