Drilling was supposed to go more than 5km deep. But after Just 3.5 km of drilling they got some pressure where lot of mud came out. They stopped drilling and were forced to start all over again on the side of the block.

Even if you discover oil it takes atleast 5 years before the oil reaches the consumer. Also the reserve has to be good enough so that further billions can be spend to develop the field.
Assad Umar is not getting shifted due to this. He will be shifted because he has been totally incompetent and has mishandled a very difficult economic situation.
People don’t rate him highly . When he was CEO of Engro company then also he didn’t do anything special. He may be shunted out once negotiations with IMF finishes or he may be asked to give budget.
Omar Ayub Khan who is the son of Gohar Ayub Khan and grandson of Ayub Khan is being touted to replace Assad Umar.

Lemme put things in perspective :

Sui gas field had 3-8 trillion cubic feet of gas when discovered.
In comparison Iran's smaller commercial gas fields are 11-22 trillion cft. For example Farzad B. Farzad B gas field - Wikipedia

Lets not even talk about large gas fields in the same post as Pakistan because that will be absurd.

I doubt it. I don’t t get how was that flying inside Pakistans airspace.
My bet is on that istar or some platform( something can spot armor and troop movements miles away) we ordered from US lately. It was in the news a year ago i think but never heard about any delivery dates.
