I am more interested to know about their well wisher's identity. Please don't tell me that it was someone from our side like ISI moles within Govt Agencies or worst RaGa who uttered this out of desperation to grow 'Potatoes on Moon'.
My bet would be on China/Russia though.
About options for Pakistan, they are in truly a catch 22 situation right now. If backing off, their brave and Jangjoo Awaam will not like it as it's admission of defeat. If they continue or think of escalating, their grave economic situation will not survive the brunt of this. It's going to be very interesting time ahead for us regarding this conflict.
No USA USA USA, its always been USA, even earlier Musharraf goodnight buddies, & who know its us who plum them to Stone age or the advisor do it themselves, once Pak exercise nuclear first use option.
One thing is certain, once they do use it, that country wont be allowed to exist one way or another, knowing its jihadi tendencies, it could soon come to west doors, the bomb.

Kashmiris aren't warlike at all. That's why the Pakistanis have had to pump in Afghan jihadi veterans from Pashtuns to Punjabis, to Uzbeks to the occasional Arabs into Kashmir to fight India. The PA is pretty derisive in their assessment of the ordinary Kashmiri's fighting abilities. The ordinary Kashmiri is known to be a crafty operator though. Something, we still haven't caught on.
I'm sure @Falcon will be able to fill in the rest here, should he choose to.

At the height of the Insurgency, in '90s, I believe there were even the odd Chechens and Sudanese. Not 100% sure though.

Of course Kashmiris aren't fighters. Why is it that Kashmir went from 100% Hindu/Dharmic to majority Muslim, to the point where Hindus became a minority who were eventually kicked out? Why is it that most terrorists we kill, have the same last names as Kashmiri Pandits?
Hell, why did Guru Tegh Bahadur have to die to prevent forcible conversion of Kashmiri Pandits...?

Right now US, France, UK are puffing up India by aggressively promoting banning process of Masood Azhar at UN through the alternate route if China does not withdraw its technical hold by April 23. Pakistan is succeeding to take Kashmir to a level of Gaza strip, and Muslims in India will definitely support Pakistan when it comes to religion, as they wear black shirts on Friday when Israel f**** them seasonally, it makes no differene if Pakistanis take hold on Kashmir or Indian muslims, they just want it out of Non Muslim centre. We have already delayed punishing Pakistan disproportionately to end their agenda of pan islamic India. And world is watching our actions how brave we are.
