Pakistan AirForce : Updates & Discussions

-In a potential bad news for India, Pakistan has reportedly approved the purchase of a new Chinese-made fifth-generation fighter jet. The Chinese-made fifth-generation fighter jet named as Shenyang J-35 is a series of Chinese twin-engine, all-weather, stealth multirole combat aircraft. Manufactured by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), the aircraft is designed for air superiority and surface strike missions.

The defence acquisition is part of Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) plan to enhance its air attack capabilities. Moreover, as a cause of concern for India, the Shenyang J-35 is expected to outperform India’s advanced fighters, such as the Rafale and Sukhoi Su-30MKI. The advantage of the own fifth-generation fighter jets is expected to remain with Pakistan until India secures its own.

The J-35A was designed and built by the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, a unit of the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China. Little is known about its performance or capabilities, although it superficially resembles the Lockheed Martin LMT.N F-35.

The state-controlled People’s Daily news outlet said ahead of the air show the J-35A “mainly carries out the task of seizing and maintaining air supremacy.”

The six-day China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, a biennial event where Beijing showcases its expanding aerospace industry, takes place in Zhuhai from Nov. 12-17.

What obnoxious arrogant headline by the Indian "journalist" putting "scared pakistan."

Good thing IAF decided on more 4th gen Rafafles, eh? Oh I can't wait when IAF finally says to LM and US congress, your terms are acceptable we would like F-35's now. :p

I wanted to contradict you, but I gave up, I saw that the Indian Air Marshal said exactly the same thing as you, this is the opinion that Indian officials have instilled in Indians, telling Indians that we are strong, the enemy is false, that's all.

China is decades away from surpassing the hurdles caused due to mountain terrain.

Well, I am trying to understand Indian thinking, Indian market is occupied by Chinese goods, India is proud because they think China needs India?

Not Chinese goods, "cheap" Chinese goods. China as a brand name is quite limited outside China.

BYD is a cheap car. Huawei is compromised. Xi destroyed Alibaba. The US is banning TikTok. And 35% tariff to the US is on the way.

How does this change anything when there are more number of more capable J-20s on the Chinese side?

The F-35 is not sufficient against either threat anyway, that's why there are programs like the KF-21, KAAN and GCAP amongst F-35 users. Unless something more than the J-20 comes along, the IAF plans to stick with their MRFA (Rafale) + AMCA plan.

The J-35 is a problem for you guys in the Pacific, not for the IAF. In fact, it's better for India if both our main adversaries are using the same technologies. We'd much prefer PAF operates the J-35 than the Gripen E.

We are extending the service of mig 21 to 2026,serious threat for J35.

Does anybody have any idea about jf 17 role in Myanmar civil war, does the junta using them for ground attack roles in the civil war? MAF are using mig 29 and FTC 2000G, Q-5 extensively, why they are using trainer aircrafts when they have dedicated aircraft for that missions? Any clue what happened to their JF -17 thunder,

Looks like Su-57 will come, this way or that.

There is no role.

Myanmar's grounded their JF-17s.

It's unclear if it's really true or political.

It's very difficult to say, the politics behind it is all sketchy.

MRFA is the first priority now, so there won't be anything new until it's signed. And the Russians also need time to develop a more advanced, more stealthy two-seat version, so that's 2030+.

This decade belongs to the West in terms of imports, mostly generic stuff. So we have all of next decade to decide, when our market opens up for exotic stuff.

They're sh!t scared which is the reason they're desperately shopping around with the only countries who'd entertain them . They're broke & a semi pariah nation nobody except China Turkey & a few European nations want to sell to .

Good thing IAF decided on more 4th gen Rafafles, eh? Oh I can't wait when IAF finally says to LM and US congress, your terms are acceptable we would like F-35's now. :p

No F-35s are ever coming . Not after the fracas in the delay of the delivery in the GE F-404 TFs. Whatever little goodwill you earned disappeared with that stunt you guys pulled. It may well be unintentional but we got them message loud & clear.

It's either more Rafales or Su-57 . Unfortunately given the ham handed manner in the way we function , we won't be inducting it when we DESPERATELY need it but in classic fashion we'd be shutting the stable after the horse has bolted which in dummy terms i.e in terms you can understand is - we'd get them after the war with China is over & since Paxtan are our brother in arms they'd ensure we'd make good use of them like they did the last time.

Whachu talkin bout Willis? I didn't read the sht I posted just read the headlines and said this sht needs to be posted here quickly!

In other words you're such a dummy , you can't even troll right. You're taking after Paddy you know. He'd post things he didn't read to support his PoV , used to get caught flat footed & kicked on his a r s e.

Sometimes he did so after reading & linked articles which contradicted his PoV. Good to see you taking after him. That way we don't miss Paddy much. Plus he wasn't into the fairer sex too. He thought he was the fairer sex. Much like you do . So there . Ja ?

From Burma's Irrawaddy River news, if you often follow the Burmese civil war, you know this is a Burmese opposition magazine in Thailand

I don't think it's trustworthy news,You don't see any good news on the junta or China,On this website

Myanmar's JF-17 fleet being grounded was revealed by the military itself. It happens when it's constantly being used in combat.

I have seen no reports from the Burmese military of the GroundinG of the JF-17, and since Operation 1027, Burma's FTG 2000G and JF-17 are deployed frequently and show no siGns of beinG Grounded

Not all JF-17s are grounded. Some are still operational. Even the article states "majority," which can also mean some.

And the Block 2 is well-known to face regular issues. So it's not a surprise that during wartime operations new problems have come up that Pakistan and China did not know about.
