The asking price is insane. They are milking the most before we become self reliant. This will be the last submarine import from France.
Why don't india purchase more Kilo ? far far more affordable....

And I wish you a very good luck with germany about the bigger sub.

This is exactly the attitude issue of frenchies, no wonder Aussies gave the finger.
It is why some aussies now regrets the Aukus decision : big big money for a very late solution, probably without any australian content (because the price will rise again).
Good job.
But thanks to the Australian shortfins studies, we sold 4 subs to Netherlands. And are in the race for Canada bid.

The strong lobby MDL got within the MoD means the conventional sub making business will always be primarily theirs. In fact much of the existing capacity is under utilised. One big reason why other shipyards are not keen on expanding into ssk building due to very very low domestic demand and almost nil chance of export. The existing facility at HSL can also be augmented via short-mid term prep work into submarine mfg as well as existing MRO work. So with this state of affair we can predict what would happen in future too.

Exactly why the French were never a good choice for submarines.

How does it matter for you?. French lost, deal with it. x

LOL.
So why TKMS explain that?
"the french" sell subarines worldwide, including India. No need to go further. Your classical french bashing fall short due to reality.

Lost ? no.
Australian military top brass were very satisfied with the R&D effort. It's only one corrupted (and idiot) Aussie that decided to halt the deal, to give Austalia to USA.
They will have to pay at least 'th the price, with probably no australian content, and with a first capacity end 2030 early 2040.
What a nice deal !

Another proof of your french bashing. Pityfull.
