He was simply refering to TEDBF no point in running wild guess.
This is a DRDO/ADA representative (as he mentions late in the interview), talking about the AMCA simulator. Whilst talking about it, he says something that piqued my interest.
"we have to see that the stealth capabilities are maintained, stealth is the primary focus. This will be a fully 5th gen aircraft with a high amount of stealth. This will be the natural progression from the [tejas] MK2. And then we also will have a naval version of this [while pointing to the AMCA model], which is a twin engined deck based fighter".
Well, you know, KoNsPiRaCi ThEoRiezHe was simply refering to TEDBF no point in running wild guess.
On a side note VR glasses are good addition to FMS it will make the training more realistic.
But then also, the stealth of TEDBF might be comparable to Rafale M ?He was simply refering to TEDBF no point in running wild guess.

There were & are rumours of a N-AMCA. All depends on when the TEDBF gets certified & more to the point when AMCA Mk-1 & Mk-2 make first flight otherwise post TEDBF the entire team will be doing what the CSL team which built the IAC-2 is doing in Kochi & what MDL team is doing / will be doing after launching the last of the Scorpenes. He was simply refering to TEDBF no point in running wild guess.

Its cos ADA tried to push it a bit but navy likely reluctant as the IAF version itself won't be properly ready till 2040 at least. ADA chief did mention IF the navy want a naval version of amca they will develop it. But that is far away in backburner. There were & are rumours of a N-AMCA. It's only the outer shell minus LRUs & other sub systems. How can it be just 3600kg?
Is there will be a change in dimension in MK2 AMCA? I am not asking for the changes going to made for housing the new type engines.
We can expect changes. But untill the engine development program is finalised, we will not know much.Is there will be a change in dimension in MK2 AMCA? I am not asking for the changes going to made for housing the new type engines.
In other words. Poor progress. It seems significant sections of the first prototype have already been built
