Afganistan - Pakistan Conflict

The heck! I just woke up to the news.

Is this a ploy to get trump meditating b/w afg and pak. Narrowing the growing difference and divergence of stands b/w Taliban and Pakistanis?

I still don't know "do i need to support Taliban over Pakistan".

Think of it as a cricket match, if it helps 🤣.
But jokes apart.. we don't need to take sides. We aren't friends with Taliban but "Afghanistan". We just need to keep an eye and see and figure out it's implications and potential developments

Some history

He forgets a major point. Pakistan can't destroy the terror infra cause it uses them itself.

Terror infra isn't just a building. It's a whole narrative, slogans, brainwashing, trafficking, arms proliferation, radicalisation en masse.
How do they even compherend to stop the very thing they sustain ? It's not like theres a hard border to stop the flow of ideas and people.
While TTPs goal might be different.. it runs on the same methodology, infra that munir himself is part of.

He makes it sound like political fight b/w two nations without radicalism.

I thought its the whole point he is making.

Nope. He forgets the role of Pakistani state itself in trying to keep its own terror structure while making "ceasefire" deals.
Let's assume TTP has 100 fighters. And soon ceasefire is established by their head. What will those 100 fighters do. They know nothing but to fight. So, they fight.
He calls out TTP as the tiger and pakistan as the nearest wheel. But pakistan wants to take one tiger that troubles it, while offering meat to the tiger beside.( Radicalism).

He tried to give a historical point of view as a state vs non state issue. But it's state+non-state vs non-state. We got recent reports of Let, Jem shifting based back.. they will likely try to recruit TTP jihadi and redirect them towards India. And munir himself seems more like a jihadi than a general. Atleast in public.

Most probably Saudi Arab and Qatar will jump in and provide negotiations and cease fire grounds?

Did the Saudis even issue a statement? I was searching for this last night and didn’t find anything.

I don't understand why cannot we open a front RIGHT NOW

We should restart bombing PAF bases

We don’t want to be seen as directly responsible for a two front war against Pakistan. We are never the aggressors. However, given the situation right now in Pakistan, they themselves will try something weird with India to distract their people. At least that is my hunch. India will get the chance, it’s on us to capitalise on it.

Bagram is the larger goal. Then “how” part of it is still being figured out. However, Pakistan seems to have invited a lot more trouble than it can handle. Let’s see how US and the Saudis react.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is following with concern the tensions and clashes taking place in the border areas between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the State of Afghanistan. The Kingdom calls for self-restraint, avoiding escalation, and embracing dialogue and wisdom, which will contribute to reducing tension and maintaining the security and stability of the region," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said in a statement.
