Afganistan - Pakistan Conflict

The Pakistan army will pay a heavy price if they continue to engage with Afghanistan. These are very remote areas where the Pakistan army can't hold the position without the backing of artillery and air support. The Taliban will be playing on their home ground; they will go with their experience and technique rather than modern weapons. India should help with medical and humanitarian aid and some machinery to support the small arm manufacturing, like CNC machines.

The larger picture matters more here. It's not just Taliban, it's also TTP which is present inside Pakistan. I can now kind of understand what the Indian preparation was all about. If this escalates and TTP starts wrecking havoc inside Pakistan, we can probably think of a situation where Pak army turns on their "savage mode" and starts doing what it did in Bangladesh leading upto 1971. If we see such a situation where there is a large push of refugees from Pak side, India will be forced to get involved the same way as 1971. Probably food for thought.

*censored* were celebrating taliban takeover after US and boasting about how Kashmir will be on boil just like 1989 ...fast forward to 4 years after Taliban takeover ..Kashmir is hosting international events entire Pakistan is fighting to save their poor soldiers from getting butchered by TTP and other Taliban factions ..... this is what electing a strong leadership do to your country

Afghanistan said Sunday it killed 58 Pakistani soldiers in overnight border operations, in response to what it called repeated violations of its territory and airspace. Pakistan’s army gave far lower casualty figures, saying 23 troops were killed.

Earlier in the week, Afghan authorities accused Pakistan of bombing the capital, Kabul, and a market in the country’s east. Pakistan did not claim responsibility for the assault.

The Taliban government’s chief spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said Afghan forces have captured 25 Pakistani army posts, leaving 30 Pakistani soldiers wounded.

“The situation on all official borders and de facto lines of Afghanistan is under complete control, and illegal activities have been largely prevented,” Mujahid told a news conference in Kabul.

Sh*t is going down in Pakistan. Moment of truth drawing near? I am getting a feeling that history is going to repeat itself, this time the Baloch will be in the receiving end to get things started. Things are going out of Pakistan’s hand pretty fast.

TTP + Baloch (BLA) + Taliban (AFG) creating mayhem. Hope our decision makers realise the importance of this situation and do the needful. No better time to uproot the military dictatorship in Pakistan and gain the all important upper hand in the region as if not done, US and China will jump in to cease the initiative.

If we try to use this as an opportunity, all these will unite to oppose India. Let Pakistan implode. Never disturb a man who is destroying himself.

With Taliban holding pressers from India, I really doubt that. The elements in question see Pakistan army as their sole enemy (for now) — so in an action against Pak army, I doubt they will unite against India.

Also, how do you reckon we will ensure that US or China doesn’t get the grip that they are looking for in the region once Pak implodes? With recent developments and US showing its true colours (again!!) don’t you think it’s imperative that we don’t allow US (and China) to acquire a foothold right next to us again?

Support taliban and pashtuns, in north west side of pak.
Balochis on south west.

Support protest and unrest in pok.

Along with supporting anti army parties/groups in punjab and sindh side.

Make sure the forces we are supporting remain dominant opposing forces in their respective regions.

When pak implodes , we can go for pok.
Afghanistan can go for areas near Durand line.
Balochis for balochistan.

And support local anti army party for punjab and Sindh region.

I don't think we civilians know even half the details yet. How do we even know if US or China isn't behind it in some way. Or that Taliban can be trusted. Their presser means nothing when it comes to such high stakes matters on ground.

Let's not forget that our talks with Taliban are realpolitik. Doesn't change what Taliban was , in and what it represents largely. Neither have we ever been an aggressor. A state (official means like army) just finding it's spine in defense and counter attack shouldn't risk into such murky battlefield where royalties aren't clear.

Then comes angst against Pakistan military. Time and again, most recently op sindoor.. it has been demonstrated that for pakistan hate against India > any abuse they suffer from their own. Pak military has used it effectively in past. Even pahalgam is said to be a part of that rationale. They just didn't expect op sindoor.

Even now, all the statements from our side has shown our stance. If their army does anything funny to distract from its internal chaos.. then it won't be able to handle it. Things are just becoming clearer, no wonder unprecedented statements were coming from key people.

Pak may still try something funny. If they do, then there should be no holds barred retaliation/counterattack/offensive

Fully agree on your PoV on the Talibans.
As for being Aggressor, there are ways, in BD were we considered as the aggressor, the reason holds the key to the answer of your question.

We are not trying to get together an “allied offensive” if that’s what you mean, the interest is purely in using the current situation to our advantage and getting the job done. What the process is going entail is better left to the Pros.

Object is straightforward, defang Pakistan and uproot their military dictatorship once and for all.

Meanwhile,

Exactly, let them rotte from inside.
Won’t happen, or rather, won’t be allowed to happen by US and/or China. US or Chineses forces in Pak complicates things further for us and our operational RoE. Ideal time to talk to China about their area of interest and ensure that’s not harmed - once that’s done, China won’t care about Pakistan.

A country will never be considered on the “Big boy” table until it shows initiative where it counts. Letting things take its own course works for countries that is trying to stay under the radar, not for one trying to burst out of the cocoon and show up like we mean business. This is our backyard and it’s up to us to ensure the strategic hold in the region.
Interesting developments—

Fully agree on your PoV on the Tablibs.

Yup. But bangladesh matter was backed by Bangladeshi freedom fighters too. I meant an offensive action from army right now, esp. for territorial gains.

My take: The optimum approach needs to be multifold with army as a later option. Let me explain..

First of all, we need to make the case to the world( UN etc) in the language they understand. Sob stories. For that, our recent statements were a nudge but far from dipping our toe in it.
It's time to use the leftist and their paid to amplify atrocities in Bangladesh. Tbh, most of the leftists are sold outs. Start with celebs.. contact their PR and play them to come in support of Pakistan journalist killed by Pakistanis. Don't link it with govt.. let them handle the way of doing things.. since they are best at victimhood.
Once bollywood campaign gets going.. it has potential of forcing out the leftist cabal including 0.5 front to come out and show their stance.
Does two things.. ( they come after Modi by trying to equate it for their narrative.. expose hard, use SM effectively for it, so it reaches to the last mile. OR They make some token statements against Pakistan state.. add it to your kitty)

Once domestic is done.. the cabal outside will pick it up because there will be now enough PR for them to jump on the bandwagon.. publish articles in western media ( money), get some international celeb on board and attack pak on multiforums.
The orgs for journalists can be taken on borad . Create a document trail, official records of the issue being submitted for raising voice etc.. for present and future purposes..

Get Trump on board by incentivising him ( championing regional stability + next peace prize for bringing democracy in pak).. get pak military on defensive and under pressure.

That will surely make them do something they should do in desperation.. that's your cue for 2.0.

Everything here is just a overall setup, not the nitty gritties. And requires investment from GOI. If they can make padukone as mental health ambassador, surely she can raise a placard on how seeing pak journalists getting killed by their own military is mentally challenging for her.
Need to force 0.5's hand and Congress' too. Go on offensive and see where it stands.. elections are good time too, since they won't be able to shy away from it. ( Add female card) .
