That looks like an IA regiment rather than an IAF squadron. Even the Akash regiment has 6 batteries.

Should be tested against remote controlled Mig 21 ( awein fazool ke rakhe hue hai after retirement) one near the coast and other in pokhran, both day night and in rain. Till then this missile system is same as hawabazi.

So now they accept that its range is 80kms against earlier claim of 30kms?! I said earlier that being thicker and heavier and based on the same tech base(dual-pulse motor), Akash-NG is bound to have more range than MRSAM.
Read again. They are talking about max fire control range meaning missile will not have that much range.

Fast track Akash-NG, there are serious opportunities.
First we should do mass-induction ourselves before thinking about exports. Also, the export versions should have some difference(hardware/software) from our desi version for obvious reasons.
Akash Prime is Akash with Ramjet motor and a RF seeker. Akash-NG is Akash with a newly deveoped dual-pulse solid rocket motor. The former weighs 700kgs+ while the latter weighs around 350kgs, so just half. That's basic difference.
The original akash is also ramjet based right?
According to your description. Akash NG seems to be more advanced than Akash P. Yet both missiles are in testing simultaneously, and Akash P has never been ordered. It looks like Akash NG will be ready as well by the time Akash P is ready. So Akash P may never be ordered.
Hence my question. Why is akash P being developed in the first place?
