Brexit and Future of UK : Discussions

The sun having set on the BE is finally setting on Britain itself. How the mighty have fallen!!

The issue is you have a minority of the population who want Brexit (when you include those who did not vote) and they all want different things. By definition, you will never get a majority to agree on what kind of Brexit they want.
Add into that the fact that a number of those people demand the impossible, then you get the situation that you either get No Deal, or No Brexit most likely, and I'd wager enough Brexit voters would prefer No Brexit over No Deal to make No Brexit a majority decision if it came to it.
So to conclude ........ after all the palava of the last 2 years they will be praying to remain in

Is no Brexit an option? Would UK be having another referendum?

Are you happy with a no deal?
Yes. Companies who choose to move out should face more serious consequences in terms of their UK market share.

I see the EU/no deal as a very binary choice as it stands. Either you want a fork or a spoon, May's spork is of no use to anyone.

You have an even smaller minority of the population who want to Remain, whether you include those who did not vote or not.

Britain will retaliate by becoming a great trading power.
Britain will simply collect WTO tariffs and save EU contributions, and spend them on growing businesses to replace EU imports.

Apparently Parisians think US wine taste better than French wine, so perhaps we'll give that a try too.

The sun sets on Britain everyday, I suspect the same is true for most countries.
Google "metaphors" & statements like -

As long as we rule India, we are the greatest power in the world. If we lose it, we shall drop straight away to a third-rate Power.

George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston - Wikiquote

India was the pivot of our Empire. If this Empire lost any other part of its dominion we could survive, but if we lost India, the sun of our Empire would be set.

British Raj - Wikiquote

"One of their [Britain] great bases is Iran, Irak and Syria. That's where their fleet takes on supplies. The other is the Malay archipelago, where they're losing all their refueling -points for oil. They can trumpet abroad their intentions concerning Europe, but they know very well that it's the possession of India on which the existence of their Empire depends."

In 1839, Sir Henry Ward said in the House of Commons, "Look at the British Colonial empire — the most magnificent empire that the world ever saw. The old Spanish boast that the sun never set in their dominions, has been more truly realised amongst ourselves."[24] By 1861, Lord Salisburycomplained that the £1.5 million spent on colonial defence by Britain merely enabled the nation "to furnish an agreeable variety of stations to our soldiers, and to indulge in the sentiment that the sun never sets on our Empire".[25]

I will refrain from raising your ethnicity, tempted as I am, for the administration here has chided me for victimising you. I'm well and truly scandalised that a middle aged twat goes upstairs with "offending " Quotes all the time. Reminds me of my 3rd Grade in school. Of course, to further elucidate ( only for your benefit), we were children then.

The empire and sun-setting thing was a geographical fact not a metaphor. That's where you're getting confused.

Other historical points of correction include the fact that it was the French Normans who invaded both Britain (1066) and Ireland (1169), after the Romans and Vikings. Ireland actually invaded northern Britain in the 9th century, forming Scotland. For some reason though, the British always get the blame because the French changed their name and after WWII many found the idea of them ever invading anyone ridiculous.

And I'm well and truly scandalised that a person with their head stuck firmly up their ar5e is so concerned about the setting of the sun, when it makes no difference to them either way.

Amazing. You mean you actually graduated from 3rd grade before becoming an adult?

The public were lied to. Farage lied. Aaron Banks is being investigated for dodgy donations to the leave cause - now we know what Brexit is let the public decide.

The people ought to have another referendum - the choice being This option or remain - now we know what Brexit will really look like
Ought doesn't result in will. Besides, I don't think the EU will be obliging or even if May has the mandate to call another referendum on the issue, legalities aside.

Guess, a couple of decades later, when all those collecting welfare & boozing it out pass away due to cirhossis and the chastened rest like @BMD finally see the writing on the wall.

Both geographical fact & metaphor. More of the latter until 1947.
Actually, you'll find that Canada and New Zealand established it as a geographical fact. You enjoy the weather up there now and don't forget to send us a postcard.
