IIT Mandi researchers develop a new radar-invisible technology

capable of absorbing a wide range of radar frequencies (signals), regardless of the direction from which the radar signal is coming. Its a technology based on Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) that absorbs a wide range of frequencies used in radar . A PET sheet coated with ITO is used in the proposed design to create the FSS patterns. Using laser engraving, the FSS pattern was created on a PET sheet, and due to its symmetrical and lossy nature, the proposed absorber is polarization insensitive and absorbs EM waves in the C, X, and Ku bands. FSS technology can absorb more than 90 percent of the radar waves at a wide range of frequencies.

He hasn't made any such statement.

As a CMD his primary goal is to ensure the topline & bottom-line of the company he runs . HAL is Russia's first partner of choice. If the GoI determines the project is useful & gives the go ahead why would he refuse to partner it .

However , in all likelihood I doubt this project will come thru . The creation of HAL's Tumkur facility apart from the LUH meeting user department's requirements has killed what little hope anyone had of this project fructifying.

Moreover given the magnitude of Russia's exports to India ever since they became our primary source of oil for the past few months , there's a massive backlog of payments which haven't yet been cleared , something which's prompted Russia to threaten with holding further exports pending previous payments .

Apparently Delhi is facing a problem on evolving a steady mechanism in payments to Russia due to the sanctions plus Russia's asking for part payment in renmenbis.

Kalyani specializes metallurgy , artillery etc . Have not heard them developing ATGM . One private sector company named VEM technology has developed a ATGM called "Asibal" . It might fit the requirement given the weight including the launcher system is 18.** kg ( details in missiles and munition thread ) . DRDO had transferred them some technology regarding this , and they improved upon it and made the product as per a conference i watched in youtube .
