Eurofighter Typhoon - Updates and Discussions

double keys system.
All is said.
Why would America want a double keys system on its nukes when it could just have a single key system?

You are deluding yourself. Besides, your nukes will probably flee to the moon if ever used.

The ones that ran away from the japs in Singapore and indo china
We defended our own country first, I call that priorities. And it's a good job we did, because the Normandy landings would have been pretty difficult without Britain as a base, not that they were exactly easy anyway.

It was when it first came out but sadly the Germans will hold anybody back.

Actually no. It was a crap fighter even when it came out. By mid 1990s the Russians had already incorporated thrust vectoring in the sukhoi 30- the years when eft was being inducted. By mid 2000s the entire fleet of Indian sukhois and most su around the world has been upgraded to PESA. As of today 25 years after induction the eft still has mechanical mmr radar that the IAF has rejected even for point defense fighter lca tejas. Why blame the Germans who never claimed that the eft was the best in the world?

In your imagination. The Trident program is joint-funded by the UK. If your nukes are anything like your cars, they won't work anyway.

The British have a plane that works for them. Soon they will have a plane that works for their fleet, although they may have to fill up that empty space with helicopters, just to justify the large number of staff they will need to keep on board their carrier.

The French have a plane that works for them, both on land and at sea (what these planes will do in the air faced by a real threat is another matter).

Good for them. Why do we need to watch these displays of what The Economist called the relations between them: 'amused disdain'?

What is worrying is that we have so many pressure groups, and so much of geo-politics comes to a peak when it comes to helping us make a decision. Everyone and his aunt wants to help us select the right mix, except for everyone and his uncle who want to tell us what not to do about our country, our surrounding seas, our borders, the situation in the neighbourhood and what our people should be doing instead of dying off like flies.

Would either the British (and the Irish, tagging along with Mummy for lack of any gainful occupation otherwise) or the French like a large collection of voluble, volatile and very opinionated aunts and uncles? Going cheap, cheaper than Eurofighters or Rafales.
