Great discussion and insights on the IMPORTANCE OF GREAT NICOBAR PROJECT ( civil+military) for INDIA by Lt. Gen P R Shankar (R) with Sandeep Unnithan. This 1% of land mass will secure rest of Mainland India alone with the East & West coast from its adversaries, along with providing us an upper hand in any future conflict against any possible strategic Chess-board plans of our Adversaries.

It seems to be for ship based BHRAMOS :(
Not the UVLS I thought of...
We have had this one for more than a decade now. The new UVLS being developed is not this exactly this one but more of a derivative similar to hat the chinese have done. Its highly likely that our UVLS would be of the same size and probably sahre the same CCL infra since the brahmos is hot launched and the kusha is cold launched.

Brahmos is cold launched and if Kusha goes the mr Sam + vl srsam route it will be hot launched.

Actually that's not accurate, Brahmos is hot launched

Also MRSAM is hot launched

No brahmos has a low thrust motor that ignites as soon its about to leave the canister but its vls has no Plenum hatch like in case of hot launched barak 8

Brahmos notice no flame redirecting

Barak 8 Plenum Hatch opened before launching the missile. You can flame emerging from it from the very start.
