Ghatak and Rustom Indigenous UAV Programs

ADE was looking for qualified Pilots very recently, like last month (September) to start some uav flying missions from Chitradurga.

Now that the truth is out about Hermes-900 not matching advertised specs, there's no justification for the Tapas program getting delayed/re-designed.

Edit: A pusher-prop config would have mitigated the Tapas' weight problems imo. But we need to adopt an iterative approach to get a decent, working UAV for all the effort invested over the years. For perspective, Nishant was in trials/limited series production in the mid-to-late 1990s when we acquired the IAI Searcher. Today, it's been retired and indigenous programs are yet to see the light of day.

Are random bloggers now bearers of truth?

Tapas is a failed design, no need to dwell on it. ADE is a failed lab. Reform it, close the project and start clean like Archer-NG.
