There is concept called GTI - Ground of Tactical Importance. It is that feature/piece of land whose loss makes your own defenses untenable. In army, you may have an enemy occupying that GTI with maybe 20 soldiers alone (hypothetically speaking as usually it shall have a very strong troop presence due to the critical nature of the location) and you may loose 3000 men capturing it. But with it's capture, you can wipe out all the defences in surrounding areas or may force the enemy to retreat significantly that may result in a situation wherein the losses are 20 for enemy and 3000 for you, but the enemy is in no position to resist your further attacks. Is that a victory or a loss?

BABAINT update

As per local pigeon, during the IA strike, more than 50 officials/Pak Army men were present there and atleast 20 killed on the spot and many are injured. They were shifted in 6 ambulances. Internet service has been stopped by PA and announcements are made not to come out of home.

Big development. Govt brings back Jaish Terrorist from UAE. NIA arrests Jaish e Muhammad terrorist Nisar Ahmed Tantray who was absconding in Lethpora CRPF terror attack case of Dec 30, 2017, escaped to UAE on Feb 1, 2019. Nisar is younger brother of Jaish commander Noor Tantray.

This means the guy is surely tweeting on orders from someone and not a military person. On Phone yoy will easily miss Hajira for Jakhira.
If we can hit Hajira, we can very easlily hit Hakipir also with similar accuracy. Actually this Bulge between Poonch and Uri has been converted to a killing zone by IA.

I'm not familiar with the topography but when you have a bulge jutting into ones territory doesn't it also mean you're flanking it from three sides?

What's the brouhaha all about? The Chinese would find a via media to tackle this in case they were unable to take it over. We compound our mistakes by giving it back, being reactive, defensive even and consequently being at the receiving end.

Perhaps you'd like to elaborate @Falcon
