Indian Army is getting TopGun fuse for 155mm arty shells from Israel for a real battle ground testing. Its a very low cost solution and with Gagan update to GPS signal, the claimed 10m CEP can be reduced to about 5m. Our ATAGS and Dhanush are capable of firing three shells within 15seconds and also MRSI. Just three shells will do the damage which took over 10 rounds.
In addition, we might also get LORA rockets from Israel for trial purposes. Really bad days for Pak Army.

I quite like the name of the rockets. Seems apt it's landing in Pakistan. From India with love.

These fuses will allow us to target even the posts on the reverse slope of mountains as the shells can dive at about 60*. Uri-Poonch bulge has some of the tallest hill features in Pir Panjal along the LOC. Most of them have accommodation for soldiers on the reverse slope and BOPs on the front slope. Now using these shells we will be able to decimate them completely and our troops will be able to capture these hills with relative ease. @Falcon

Radar generates firing solution, not the missile.

The R-37M is not meant to deal with fighter jets. A fighter jet can beat the R-37 with manoeuvres alone.

Sir , why dont we Bomb the Uri Poonch Bulge

We can fly parallel to the LOC and use stand off weapons

Since this bulge and the mountain peaks are
Held strongly by the Pakistanis ,it is a Target Rich zone

And If PAF intervenes , the IAF can take its Revenge of Feb 27

I thought, R-37 be better than R77, not talking range only, but R77 is Mach4-5, while R-37 is Mach 6 for whole range of 150km, and in semi cruise profile before terminal run can even do 300-400km distance. besides like meteor R-37m has Inertial guidance, which renders it invisible to radar during its midcourse flight, till active homing is activated, the pilot has only fractions of a second to take countermeasures.
Making it quite potent & hardly any chance to pilot to out manoeuver it. I am quite surprised by claim that R-37 can be beat with manoeuvers alone.

Air launched weapons generally cost much more than arty shells. If you can do a job with lower cost, why increase you cost?

R-37 is an AWACS killer. It is a very heavy missile so its G performance is below par against fighter jets. You can only use it to kill unsuspecting fighter jets.

There is a similar missile in the works, the status is unknown, called the K-100. RuAF chose R-37 while IAF decided to fund the development of K-100.

This one also has a range of 300-400Km and hypersonic speed.

Some say it is already in limited production. Some say it's only in flight testing stage. Some say development stopped since its being superseded by ramjet missiles... and so on.

Inertial guidance is used in all BVRAAMs.
