He crossed a line. Even in an unofficial capacity, a gentleman officer will not use derogatory language, at least when interacting with civilians. He was pulled up by own boss. Probably seniors were also concerned that he was getting too emotionally involved in these mind games. His tweets were becoming more hostile and emotional.
Cyber security should include offensive strategies too, Twitter is a place where getting back Abhinandan immediately could become everything and all other plans can be derail fearing pressure from Indian public.
