That would be strange. They will get slapped with sanctions if coup happened and moreover their chief backs Imran Khan.

Even since Imran Niazi was elected, PA has been the one in power anyway. Coup's already done.
Imran Niazi is on his way out, If you listen to certain pakistani's like @Karachipost, establishment is upset even with Bajwa. There won't be a direct coup. But I am expecting a change in PM, or some sort of internal conflict within GHQ.

How will they dress it up for their domestic/international audience ? Last time they wanted Nawaz Sharif out, it was corruption, panama leaks, Modi ka yar etc. What will it be this time ?
Nah, they can't remove Niazi. It's too early for that. Only Niazi can attract foreign money, not the army chief.
There is this Pressler amendment also which means automatic stoppage of aid from USA in case of a coup in Pakistan. Imran Khan is the best bet for PA as he is their stooge and Puppet.

Military leaders (Ataturk) or authoritarians (Xiaoping, Lee Kuan Yew) don't necessarily have to be bad for a country. But Pakistan is too morally and intellectually bankrupt a country to produce such leaders, that too from its military, which is incredibly greedy, self-serving and unprofessional.
