Sanctions - Their economy is already down the gutter. Wont have the desired shock impact.
The test however plays well into Pakistan's plan. It gets them attention in the media and world leadership. Plays to the nuclear flash point card. They are going to do everything to get the world leaders to say - Just give them what they want.
Historically it has worked for them. And Pakistan has been slow to adapt to changing scenarios. They are still using the old playbook in a world where its no longer relevant and could potentially backfire.
He is probably hinting test of TNWs using the Hatf series. They have completely left the southern border from Rahim yar jhan to Ktch on the use of TNWs. This is what I call "Deathwish".
Who knows if there is actually a nuke test by the Pakistanis then it opens avenues for us to test our newer thermo-nuke designs. We can just say its a reaction to their test.

Its just idle threats to get the west involved. They will NOT fire any nukes.
Few days back Pak twitter handles had been hinting at brinkmanship with one claiming that "Pakistan has always excelled at brinkmanship"
But we want them to do it. As that will bring sanctions on China also.
Definitely not a TNW or a ballistic missile. NOTAM says aircraft cannot fly below 26000 ft. If it was either of them they would have restricted aircrafts too.
They wont play along. If only they did our task would have been much easier.

If I was a Chinese decision maker, I will never let Pakistan use nukes. That will result in complete destruction of Pakistan and render China at our mercy. All our forces will than be lined up against chinese border. China can than forget about retaking Taiwan.
