I never quoted the post. You did. Besides why would they issue a NOTAM over air & sea to test their N weapons. They just can't afford it. If they do, they'd be sounding their death knell.

I'm betting they'd be testing their "MIRV" Ababeel.
Sir i quoted that post cz some twitter handle had posted about "cold" and "Surprise" and mentioned date 13 dec 2017 Nevada , US had conducted sub critical nuke tests and that article mentions France , China also following the US way but i agree why NOTAM though and why risk nuke tests which will bring sanctions , MIRV also possible or another Shaheen extended range

It could be a hint on TNWs which are the claimed PA response to Cold Start. So it could be a NASR test?

There is not much leverage on Pakistan right now

FATF - They will stay grey till China supports them. No chance of going black
USAID - Is at an all time low
Sanctions - Their economy is already down the gutter. Wont have the desired shock impact.

The test however plays well into Pakistan's plan. It gets them attention in the media and world leadership. Plays to the nuclear flash point card. They are going to do everything to get the world leaders to say - Just give them what they want.

Historically it has worked for them. And Pakistan has been slow to adapt to changing scenarios. They are still using the old playbook in a world where its no longer relevant and could potentially backfire.
Nah.. the west have leverage galore...
1. Cut off IMF loan
2. US is the biggest export market for Pakistanis'... Also .. the EU is a major market... Put 50 percent tariff on all their textile exports...
3. West and Gulf tax all Pakistani remittances at 50 percent...

And voila... Pakistan is no more...

But sub critical nuke tests are done by many countries.. and CTBT allows them.. so what's the big deal

Pakistan will do something to get attention of world, to make it look serious, because so far even their own public has not taken them seriously. I hope they do something stupid they are not getting Kashmir back but nuclear rogue nation tag goes long way and they will regret it even decades later.

Please do nuclear sabre rattling to blackmail world :) maza aayega fir.

Pakistani Twitter handle issues ‘beheading’ threat to India Today journalist Nida Ahmad for supporting abrogation of Article 370 - Opindia News

I remember that time when they used to quote that CAG report in every thread about how India don't have ammunition for even 10 days war. Now realities is juxtaposing themselves followed by meltdown of most radical members.
There is nothing similar to CAG across border....Today we are reaping the benefit of such a report.....

Test of TNW from Nasr is impossible since Pakistan has not achieved the required miniaturization of nuke warhead. Their threat of TNWs is complete bluff so does their MIRV.

From what I understand, the Taliban wants to talk to India, but India's position is Taliban should talk to the Afghan govt and India's stand will be whatever the Afghan govt decides. But the Taliban is not willing to talk to the Afghan govt.

The Taliban understands that they cannot fight Afghanistan if Pakistani troops are constantly running back to the LoC every time there's a problem with India. And the Taliban also understands that they need direct Pak Army help if they want to start capturing other districts in Afghanistan, which is not possible with tensions with India. The Afghan Army is too strong for the Taliban to.

So we should not change our position.

I have read that many times , Pak army soldiers join Taliban ranks when they are short of man power. Retired army commanders act as Taliban commanders. Without such professional help its impossible for Taliban to work such efficiently.
So u are right whenever theres a problem for on the eastern border with India, Taliban starts calming down
