Thing with Gen Panag is.. he is so caught up in politics. One doesn't know if it actually the officer in him talking or the politician. Makes it difficult to ascertain his analysis is valid. Our Technological Lead vis a vis Pakistan in conventional warfare is startling.

China has staggering lead numbers not the technological edge, also literally zero combat experience, to fight a war in tibet won't be easy.

This analysis was written just for the sake of it it doesnt contain any thing new, every other line we read has been read by us somwhere else.

On his twitter account he has himself stated that he is not in the know of things - maybe that is the reason for his stand that our technological gap is not large.

But I find most of his analysis credible. Having said that I still maintain that govt. will not move unless it is sure of how China will react and the govt. will not move towards a potential two front war. A deal with China is the key. Else India will keep the pot simmering but not let it boil and work in other ways to keep Pak on the edge.

Pakistani Kashmir is well defended.i don't care if China helps us or not.time is right to formulate a strategy.anyway India can't even defend it's Kashmir if pakistan and China decides to attack from two different fronts.unfortunately Pakistan don't share it's strategy and I don't think any two front strategy exists which shows lack of understanding of situation.

@Falcon

Apropos the article as quoted, please also find an analysis done by PKS. He makes some very interesting and incisive observations which I've included in the screenshots as enclosed.

In addition to this, pls also find the link of the article penned by Lt Gen Panag for The Print. Further, there's the perpetual pessimist Pravin Sawhney who spares no occasion to run down Indian achievements in the field of defense or the Indian Armed Forces strategic planning & capabilities.

Amit Shah’s political aim to recover PoK is not backed by India’s military capacity

There seems to be a growing no of sceptics to the notion that we are in any position whatsoever to undertake an invasion of PoK were it to occur immediately. I haven't even brought up the issue of deployment of N weapons and how'd we counter them should we decide to execute our plan.

Would it be too much to expect a detailed analytical rebuttal assuming you're in opposition to these assessments, without giving out too much in terms of our operational preparedness in your typical cryptic style?

Thanks in advance.

In my view , The cross LOC - POK campaign
Is only to Embarras Pak Army So that They
Make an Offer to Convert LOC into Permanent Boundary

Once PAK Army is Shamed , they lose their
Hallowed position in the Country

If PA concurs to the LoC as the permanent boundary , it is shamed & then they'd be eaten alive in their own country. Putting someone like IK to sign such an agreement wouldn't wash at all with the Pakistani people. That's what happens when you raise expectations in your own population to fever pitch but lack the means to deliver. It's called Sher ki Sawaari as the PA is now discovering.

See what's being said now by Indian official sources as part rhetoric to counter Pakistani claims over Kashmir.

How about three front War, Indo, Afghan, Iran against Pakistan, with China unable since focused on Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Siberian Border hot tension.

Reverse specullation

What are we going to do with POK even if we get it?
I think, focus it to make the resident stand against PA. India would need the US assistant and Russian desire to get back POK with minimum resistance. How ever I feel, Azaad Kashmir, population have been replaced with non natives and best to leave as it is beside some strategic position. Its the Gilgit Baltistan, which is the key to have direct connectivity with the Afghanistan and Central Asia via Uzbekistan. I annoy an expert in this domain, just my view.
