Conventional as in, the primary role of how Indian Army is to fight an enemy. Not Counter-Insurgency or Special Operations, but all out offensive battles with aim to defeat enemy forces, capture and hold enemy territories and degrade the ability of the enemy to fight/launch offensive operations.

And when I wrote then that India would have definitely sounded out the US before undertaking such a venture, you come out with a long rant on how it was in response to Trump's offer to mediate and that the Chinese would definitely respond, etc. Says a lot about the way you read the situation. You go from gung ho aggression to the depths of nihilism within a span of a few posts.

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with the 15-member Caribbean block in New York, the Vice-President of Suriname has voiced support for India’s actions in Kashmir.

Speaking in response to a question, Vice-President Michael Ashwin Adhin said his country had respect for India’s Kashmir action since Suriname follows the U.N. Charter and therefore won’t interfere in the internal affairs of India.

July 23 - Press conference with Trump ... Imran was confident.. When he said that US should mediate, it did not sound like pleading.

September 23 - Imran Khan is counting prayer beads during the conference. Towards the end of the conference, when he asks trump to mediate there is desparation in his voice. I sensed that he will start crying any time... It's like he knows his run as prime minister is nearing its end..

What difference two months can make..
