What he could have done by staying in Pakistan? He may have went intentionally to present it as surprise to save face and fool their public something they are master in.
You have anything to back up your claim that India took US on board before 370 removal? I said what I said after reading US reaction before and after 370 removal. We were not part of Afghanistan peace process and suddenly after this Khalilzad was visiting, US was not giving a proper statement, Trump denying meditation, US high profile military commander from Afghanistan started visiting.
If it was conveyed to them they would have visited earlier and worked out details. What you were saying sounded like that since US is a great power we must have taken them onboard.
The biggest article in support of this I have read in media is which claimed India told US twice this year about 370 removal, first in January meeting and second in July meeting. January meeting was even before election how does it even make sense to call it taking US on board! India conveys regularly some things for sake of it, doesn't mean they are executing them next week.
And if I misread and you meant India just informed US about removal (not trying to get them onboard) how does it matter? What does it even mean?
I dont think in that way, it's more like India going thru his mind 24*7.....His brain is stuck with 2 words....Kashmir and India ..... The word is sooo deep that now he worries more about India then his own country or countrymen...

Why is September 27 so special? Is it just for the end of the UN General Assembly? Doesn't Pakistan have FATF meetings/audits coming up or are those before the 27th? Perhaps Pakistan doesn't care?
It seems odd that Pakistan would wait for the end of the UN assembly when it is basically assured that nothing will come of it anyway.

I am of an opinion that our strategic response for what they did in Pulwama and on 27th was removing A370. And not Americans but Pakistanis may have got this info of India's plan somehow of doing something in Kashmir, and hence this Charsi Khan ran to Trump to save his image on Kashmir matter.
