You are almost there,

He did say space. :p

@Paro is closing in terms of capability almost, but not yet there.

The clue was always, to quote myself (narcissist me;)) .. '......it is an intelligence led operation'.

@Paro

My money's on the very new Global 5000 carrying this:
http://www.deagel.com/Protection-Systems/ELI-3001-AISIS_a001991001.aspx

That's just one of the many systems on the 5000. RAW operates 2 of these.

The IAF has been so impressed by such class of aircraft that they have a requirement for 7.

This RFI should give you some idea.

No clue which one.
‘THE SLIP BETWEEN THE CUP AND THE LIP’

The same is corroborated by a Thales GS-100 Low Level Targeting Radar (LLTR) deployed in that area and integrated into the IACCS. The GS-100 is an AESA radar with low-altitude search capability that can track targets up to 180 km range with high accuracy. The post event milking out of radar data from the GS-100 clearly has shown the MiG-21 closing into the F-16s, which were higher between 15–25,00 feet.

Very informative for everyone indeed.

There is a perception in Main Stream Media based on some write up by some retired IAF officer that there was no AWACS in air on 27 Feb when the PAF came. This perception I found quite rampant amongst the retired Air Force officers I have been interacting with. Hence, the misperception is being reinforced as number of 'sources' representing the 'retired officers' end up pushing forward the same narrative.

I want to clarify for all concerned, the misperception is exactly that, a misperception. The crew of that AWACS is quite amused to see this story being peddled around.

There was an AWACS very well in the air at the time.

Regards

Babaji now follows our forum on tweeter.. Guyz we need to keep the moral and quality of post to a good level..

There remains a need to post quality material and undertake a comprehensive 'due diligence' in order to not be a source of misinformation and rumor mongering as this forum remains under watch from quite a few quarters. Mods will be moderating and deleting those posts that are not adding value and merely a flame/troll quality.

@STEPHEN COHEN can u read this article again , seems updated / edited compared to the day u have shared it.

I still specifically say, there was another platform present in their air space. Won't comment if it was slow moving or fast moving.

The important question everyone could muse on is " would you operate a manned or unmanned platform over contested enemy airspace during difficult times "

Unrelated , RAW operated unarmed Predators on loan didn't they ? , I forget I read somewhere , MRO facility with the same gave out the indications.

Also related, Rustom 2 elint, esm, comjam sensors is kind of similar to Netra aewcs and those sensors came from where ?

Could this be a semi-official announcement of retirement from the peddling of alternative reality?? Coming from Gafoor's personal Twit account!!
