Hope we develop similar ecosystem for GaN semiconductor like West has developed for GaAs chips. Look how US is effing China by banning semi-conductor chip exports. We can't afford that, IMO.Astra MW radar for Mk1a @Rajput Lion

This is great news. Maybe for AMCA MK2(also maybe for our future MBTs). DAS would allow 360° detection and tracking of all threats and should work as MAWS++.
Its MAWS with bigger scope. From F-35 started calling it DAS.
AN/AAQ-37 Distributed Aperture System - Wikipedia
MAWS just tells you general direction of incoming missile, DAS is distributed imaging Infrared sensors(in MWIR) that not just detect missile launches but create 360° situational awareness bubble and even track sneaking planes from all aspects. This allows in principal to launch missile 180° off the nose(6 O'clock) of the plane. Currently ONLY F-35 has this system(maybe J-20 too!).
