The truck from which the NASM-MR was launched was from is a very recent thing, this is the launcher that would be replacing the old trailer thing they used for ITCM/Nirbhay. A variant of the very same vehicle is also being offered by L&T btw

Yes, the diameter difference isn't that high, the corner plank and the wide metal plank in the centre can easily cover it.
This is how AD-1 becomes "AAD"
I am talking about the test launcher of AD-1 (alleged) and AAD being the same, no one's talking about NASM MR here. (Why would I talk about that on BMD thread)
Also the difference in diameter of 1st and 2nd stage is nearly 120mm (340mm 1st stage 560mm 2nd stage).
If you believe that corner plank and metal bars can cover that much you can continue with your delusions

Seeing is believing. I have produced a 1-to-1 scale (barring some camera distortion) superimposition of an old AD-1 photo, copied the launcher planks from the new photo on the scaled photo that perfectly supports my claim this it is only AD-1.
You haven't anything to show other than personal attacks.
Assuming AD-1's been redesigned, I wonder if we're looking at a slimmer booster rocket signifying a potentially lower range/altitude variant. Not sure what would be the rationale for that though.
The other possibility is that some major stride was made in solid-fuel chemical composition, resulting in lesser quantity of fuel needed to achieve same kinematics as before, hence a thinner & lighter booster is enough.

If this is what you call a 1-to-1 superimposition and you are presenting it as proof then good for you, but I will not entertain such fantasies and as such I will not engage with you any further

If AD-1 is actually modified then I think this is more likely
I rendered that "Exposed Kinetic Kill Vehicle" photo in 2019 after the Shakti test. It's incorrect. The missile only jettisons its nose cone to expose the sensor. It was modelled after the SM-3 KKV which later turned out wasn't the case and the entire second stage itself was the KKV.
AD-2 KKV is significantly miniaturised.
What is the rationale behind decreasing the booster diameter in AD-1?
If they have improved the solid motor chemistry and increased specific impulse, then the range , altitude and defended area will all go up.
Why will someone then decide to slim down the first stage despite all these advantages.
I believe it’s the same missile . It looks like that due to the launcher.

Ballistic Missile Interceptor AAD Flight Tested Successfully
DRDO conducted successful test of the Advanced Area Defence (AAD) Ballistic Missile Interceptor at 1130 hr on 2 August 2018 from Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. The endo atmospheric missile, capable of intercepting incoming targets at an altitude of 15 to 25 km, was launched against multiple simulated targets of 1500 km class ballistic missile. One target among simultaneously incoming multiple targets was selected on real time, the weapon system radars tracked the target and the missile locked on to it and intercepted the target with a
high degree of accuracy. The complete event including the engagement and interception was tracked by a number of electro-optical tracking systems, radars and telemetry stations. All the mission objectives were met successfully. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, witnessed the flight test along with other senior officials. Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Smt Nirmala Sitharaman congratulated DRDO on the successful flight test and for further boosting the defence capabilities of the country. The endo-atmospheric missile is capable of intercepting incoming targets at an altitude of 15 to 25 km
