Finally. Any idea on Indian weapons integration?Did not expect such positive news from this front. Hope this gets through.

It would be better to burn that money. ADE is the worst performing lab of DRDO.I am not comparing by spec, just their fate. If tapas program had got 50% funding of the predator program and maybe a more dedicated result oriented team who knows we might have made it here.
Why though. It would be primarily surveillance platform. Hellfire is cheap enough for secondary use cases.Finally. Any idea on Indian weapons integration?
This TOT is a farce.American MQ9B Combat Drones Set To Be Assembled In India

what drone delivered weapons we got? those 1 km thin missile by BDL? Not useful for HALE drone. I guess we will mainly keep it as ISR platform, maybe some hellfires will be added given we might make those locally.Finally. Any idea on Indian weapons integration?

It's fine. We do not have an program comparable to this. Assembly is a decent start for something which gives us this capability. Also, means, we can learn few things, if we are smart enough to learn. Look at the change in tactics. This itself will take couple of years. Testing our weapons by bringing it into the decision loop. Lots of things to learn. This TOT is a farce.
Whatever TOT they will offer will be outdated even by our standards neither we will get any thing by CKD, these things are unnecessary increasing the cost of deal. It's fine. There is nothing wrong in assembly. Concentrate on what we already have on the plate first.
We have nothing even close to the proven capabilities of a MQ 1, let alone MQ 9.Whatever TOT they will offer will be outdated even by our standards neither we will get any thing by CKD, these things are unnecessary increasing the cost of deal.
In a major move to boost manufacturing in India, US-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Bharat Forge have announced a partnership to manufacture main landing gear components, subassemblies, and assemblies of remotely piloted aircraft.
The move is expected to result in significant capability-building for both companies and provide an impetus to the Indian large, unmanned aircraft industry.
Further, the partnership will also help India to develop a manufacturing ecosystem for high-end drones.
“GA-ASI is eagerly looking forward to working with Bharat Forge in the critical field of aerostructure manufacturing,” Vivek Lall, Chief Executive, General Atomics Global Corporation said in a statement on Tuesday (3 January).
“Bharat Forge’s expertise in the field of forging is known globally, and their outstanding contributions in the aerospace sector has inspired us to work together for building the next generation of the world’s most advanced unmanned aerial vehicles," Lall added.
Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Forge Limited, said, “Aerospace is a high ‘Technology Intensive’ domain, which relies on Product Integrity, Reliability, and Zero Defect.’ This is a culture by itself and demands a strong focus on people and processes. As part of our Aerospace Growth Strategy, our collaboration with GA-ASI is a strong testimony of our culture in Bharat Forge Aerospace to assimilate and demonstrate the same, as partners to General Atomics, in making India Atmanirbhar.”
Bharat Forge Limited, which is part of the Kalyani Group, has a state-of-the-art, digitally integrated manufacturing, assembly, and testing facility for aerospace components and systems.
It manufactures structural and engine parts and subsystems for aircraft and engines for both civil and military applications.
The company's portfolio includes aircraft turbine and compressor manufacturing; high-end aero engine components like blades, discs, and shafts; and airframe components, including aircraft landing gear, in keeping with the latest technology and design trends, while maintaining high quality standards.
If it's ADE , we'd be lucky to get it in 2028 . If the gentle Dr Kota felt the urge to exhort ADE to "promise" to deliver 3 systems of which 2 have been in the making since long you can imagine the confidence ADE enjoys among both serving & retired scientists leave aside the bureaucracy or the services.
This deal is unique in the sense that there will be no transfer of technology or defence offsets. The drones will be delivered within five years. Also with this deal India will become the first non–NATO state to receive armed UAVs from the US for deployment along its borders and also the Indian Ocean region.
Do we expect actual signing? We do not have any FMS clearance as of yet.
As I was saying before, there are only few journalists with actual access to MoD.
