I also heard that a single Astra smashed through an Eff solar. Then turned right, went straight through the helmet to squadron leader Azzaz ul zazzaz, who was flying a JF 17 Block 4.
Tge same astral then turned left and smashed sideways into a J-10C , and then also went through the window of an AWACS Erirye , and finally got bored , and after laying down inside the awacs for half an hour, it exploded.
 
I doubt our missile tech/algorithm is still at level of Israel or Russia

I have mentioned few months back

Now what Indian made radar is: basically going forward with the Ku band aesa seeker and adding a more robust capability of QMF signal processing. This has changed the seeker totally including the wave guide. plumbing and dimensions. This is not just a technique but a new methodology and new algorithm of bringing in 4 channel signals and summing them. This is the brain of the seeker as you already know for more accurate target tracing. This is a different seeker. Adding to it the processor will be substituted with GaN based microchip for AI capabilites and better comms.

There are rumors that an another filter to support X band spectrum will also be added in the above. But not sure.
 
So the ULPGM wasn't the only indigenous PGM used during Op Sindoor.

SAAW was deployed too and a powered variant is confirmed to be in the works.

There's no confirmation of a turbojet variant of the SAAW, inspired by SPICE-250-ER. Might have been deployed last year if it is really ordered in the first place, but pretty sure it wasn't used. You need to launch it from a high altitude and speed to exploit max glide range while being extremely vulnerable in the air.

Most likely only the basic saaw variant was used. The eoir guided version is still under development. According to this report, the powered version is a recent initiative.

I don't think there's a DRDO project for a turbojet version. And I don't think SAAW would've been used this early in a war, presuming it is even in service.
There might be but it's harder to guess now. Drdo is kind of tight lipped about it's projects now more than before. Just like BM 04 missile came out as a surprise for me, as there was nothing like we are developing this and it suddenly came.

Apollo Micro Systems Limited (AMS) today announced that it has been formally shortlisted and empanelled by the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a Prime Development Agency (DA) for the Indigenous Precision Range Extension Kit (IPREK) programme, under the Make-II (Industry Funded) category of India's Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020 (DAP-2020).

IPREK is a bolt-on precision guidance and range extension kit designed to transform India's existing inventory of General Purpose (GP) 500 Kg unguided bombs into long-range precision glide weapons. A weapon fitted with the IPREK can be released from over 80–100 kilometres away and still land within 3 metres of its intended target placing the carrier aircraft well beyond the reach of most air defence systems. The IPREK converts India's existing bomb inventory into a precision standoff capability at a fraction of the cost of procuring new imported precision weapons.

The IPREK integrates India's indigenous NavIC (IRNSS) satellite navigation making it one of the first weapon systems in the world to use the Indian satellite constellation at its core. It also incorporates Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IIR) terminal guidance for day/night precision, and DSMAC (Digital Scene Matching) terminal guidance for GPS-denied operations.

Dude the source is literally ID-RW. Nobody else has reported it other than such slop websites. For the EO variant we knew there was some work going on and it was disclosed. BM04 isn't a missile but a MaRV warhead on Agni-1 rocket motor stages, so not a completely new missile altogether.

Some of these claims from the slop website is just logical guess. Spice 250 ER exist and already marketed to IAF. Its its plausible that DRDO will work in the same direction with SAAW. When you make such claims some will work out eventually.

I'll be really happy if that happens but so far it's just ID/RW's trustmebro. And since it's a cruise missile ADE would be working on it and there's no indication for it so far.

Why do they wanna make a new system again, unless it's for old 1000lbs british bombs which IAF use a lot, atleast in air excercise we see that. Tara is adaptable to only 450kg hsld series and indian made 500kg mk 83 style GP bombs, afaik.

Its company funded development (Make 2). More options the better.

Yeah their workshop was quite close to where we lived previously. Seen some very big similar cylindrical structure loaded on trucks before , we used to play in a nearby field post school. Trucks stood there and left during night. Did not know back then , but most were decoy structures apparently mimicking missile body.

can you see that white INDIA written cylinder in the newspaper report cutting in the top ? that is what I saw several times being loaded on trucks or kept in front of gate. Its some dummy article.

How would you achieve 80-100km with unfoldable wings luke small ones if spice 2000 bomb. And unfoldable wings the size of normal glide bombs like jdam er just doesn't make sense. Tara too has an IIR Seeker which has DSMAC capability.
