Ka28, the AEW KA31 has slightly wider cockpit for additional screens etc.

Including the Ka28 and Mk42B, I think we have got around 35 or so ASW helicopters. Hopefully a follow on of 12 more MH60R is signed by the time last of the 24 are delivered to fully replace these legacy systems.

Why is there no update on the 10 Ka28 upgrade deal with was supposedly signed 5 years back? Im beginning to think it never was.

Some were 'serviced' and delivered to Palam. But no news on any upgrade. Nothing in Russian outlets too. Been following Tass and Russian Defence Forum for the same but no update.
