“As we look at it right now, the Next-Gen Air Dominance is a family of systems, which has as its centerpiece the F/A-XX – which may or may not be manned – platform. It’s the fixed-wing portion of the Next-Gen Air Dominance family of systems.”

This mean that the US navy don't want to fight Chinese navy with F-18 SH or ASH and doesn't anymore rely on it.
The futur of F-18 ASH is in fact very short.

I don't think it will be an issue. SH line will be closed for the USN, but it will still be in production for the Germans. 30+15 SHs and Growlers are to be made for them. Also, the last USN delivery is in 2023-24.

Mig-29K will be replaced with TEDBF from 2032.

The IN has no need for imports for the 2 carriers because of TEDBF, but I don't actually know what the plan is. It's also possible that the SH plan will be shelved.
