Yes but giving context to it is not. I had lots of female friends in college, good friends. Because I danced with them in a disco does not make them 'scandalous' nor make me a 'womanizer'. Context is everything. Not to mention spreading rubbish 'facts' about the Nehru family just to bring it down.

Nehru's affair with Lady Mountbatten was acknowledged even by Mountbatten's daughter.

As far as going with photos of dancing club people know what it is, no context is provided to it here.

You should come out this nervousness and worry of spoiling Nehru family name, they have plenty of very highly paid influencers to whitewash everything.

Please do not say, you do not see what was attempted in the photos posted above. As far as his affair goes with Mountbatten goes, yes. Where am I saying anything about it.

Please understand the difference between saying, 'He had an affair with Mountbatten' and posting a fictional history of the Nehru family with zero proof, except net rubbish. Not to mention posting historical photos out of context.

If you are unable to see the differences and still want to propogate, lets post random stories, then it is not my fault. At the end of the day, we want to see this forum grow into something serious. Not a place for riff-raff. And if you are unable to see that what was posted was absolute riff raff, I cannot but feel sorry for you.

And let us be clear. The point is not to worry about protecting or spoiling the name of the Nehru family. It is about encouraging such utter rubbish by or against people whose only gains seem to be current political vendetta. And this, I do not think is a forum for that.

P.S : The admins on this forum seem to have gone to sleep. Their last activity date leaves lots to be desired.

I don't know what are you complaining! The post was edited that very day and article was removed. Do quote here specific portion which you feel should be removed.

Also don't keep saying photos are out of context when there was no context provided, if you feel they are out of context you can provide the original context.

You unproved those posts with photos sir?

Can you or anyone did that tell us what was wrong with those photos? Censoring something as few people are uneasy is not the best way to go.

The people feeling outrage on those photos can counter them with real photos if they are fake or provide correct context but censoring someone when he/she is totally within limits is not what I support.

Quite a few of Pics are unauthentic are are mere propaganda. There are 100 reasons to show Nehru and his family's as useless props, pic don't prove anything.

Those pics too have its target audience. The responsibility lies with us not to let the platform use such tactic to influence people. That degrade the political discourse.

Does not violet forum rules though. Authenticity can be proved only by orginal pics contradicting this which is absent so we can't say what is authentic and what not.

Anyway whats done is done. I personally regard Nehru as one of the best leader of his time and what he or anyone else do in his personal life is none of our business unless it comprises national interest but we should not censor anything without strong reason on political thread.

People at both end of spectrum often lies, twist and what not, even leaders as big as Rahul Gandhi or Modi spread fake news or err intentionally. We should not interfere if someone feel touchy unless it violets forum rules.

Unable to grasp this. We have two moral obligations:
1- Uphold forum rules.
2- Uphold moral values and that consist of (not restricted to) not allowing politically perverse method of invoking casteism, communalism, sexuality, racism, patriarchy, feminism among other to dupe people again of their right to make decision on relevant issues.

Let Rahul or Modi spread fake news, we need not to, we are not party to them. Why we need to let Nehru picture with women be the political factor in today's time?

And that pic of Gandhi? I had seen that photoshopped pic in my initial days of forruming which was a decade before.

Read this thread again and see how well we kept it, don't go too deep just few pages back, someone is crying persecution of being a Parsi and abusing others and few others are too deep into Modi hatred that they invoke all what you have mentioned but never got censored or others complained.

Why we need to decide what is factor for today and what not? How can we control what others want to discuss or post? If you want to control all this please do, I am not for controlling anything, let people decide what they want to talk we at best can moderate.

This all talk of sending positive message and all is very tempting but it is not pragmatic, there are few regular posters on this very thread who are so dumb that even if you literally drill some sense into their mind they still won't be able to overcome slavery or contribute positively. People are so deluded into conspiracy theories that they strongly believe EVM can be hacked and you think they will understand morality!

If reading previous pages is too much work do follow this thread and see what kind of language is used. How moral it is. How much people play to particular group of audience.

Edit: Nehru is relevant because few days from now Punjab govt or Karnataka govt will start a scheme under his name, name a flyover or chow or stadium or auditorium or airport or road or gali. We all need to know everything about such a great man, why hush hush!
