Because the Mandi system is owned by govt and they have MSP system. But none of the 3 bills mentions anything about MSP.
APMC board members were always the nepotist traders favoured by political parties. APMCs are established by state governments. The state governments can still keep on establishing them and offering MSP. Only now the farmers have freedom to choose where to sell the produce. Previously, APMCs were mandatory first market of sale. Only that part has been removed.
Is it mandatory for small farmers to sell to big private buyers? They can still keep on selling in their regular Mandis --if they exists, not all state do that. Private buyers have always existed. So did APMCs and farmers. Only now farmers can sell directly to private buyers, if they choose. Government is opening more ways to sell the produce, not stopping farmers to sell it in existing mandis.
The bill / act does not remove MSP. It actually does not even talk about MSP. It just stops state governments from mendating that all the sales will happen via their mandis only.
